Thanks for the offer but it's not bugs that are slowing hings down. Many classes and ideas took awhile to get coded correctly in the HL software. In example one new class has a Tikiman minion that is similar to the Summoner. But it was different enough that I couldn't use the existing mechanics that LW built for the sommoner class. So I was forced to write my own from scratch which took allot more time than using existing mechanics.
RC has lots of cases of very original ideas which is great to read. The downside is a rule that is a simple sentence to write could take 6 to 10 hours to try and code. =)
In effect because of RC new frame work and mechanics have actually been integrated directly into the HL software. For example under the covers how poisons work have been re-written from scratch. So lots of cool stuff has been going on actually.
It just may look like not much from the outside. Personally I am excited to get this into gamers hands as it was a very fun challenge to make fully functional. =)

The 3 Things im waiting/hoping on... Fel Lycanthrope Template, All the NPC's (so i can add templates on to those with the kiss), And teh Disciple Class. :)
Shadow has been a HUGE help with all this, and I can't imagine getting this done with out the extra effort. Been a labor of passion, that's for sure. The DCF has done a great job!

What is the DCF?
Also, i was thinking of typing up some of the NPC's in Hero Lab for the early Use (Like Bethany Razor). Is there a way to find out who has and has not been done? I got no problem submitting any who have not been done.

DCF = Deep Cave Frogs - The name for the group doing the coding for the HeroLab files.
My understanding is that we have all the NPCs done, and are just finalizing the last few tweaks. (There is some interesting stuff that we are doing with these files to help everyone out, and there are extra steps involved in that. Though you will have to wait and see what they are. If I give too much info, the Frog Gods might smite me, so you just have to wait for it.)
What I will say though, is that FGG listened to customer feedback on their previous products to enhance the experience and useability on this one.

Minor wrinkles in the RA files that got ironed out. Had to spend a few dragon's hoards getting all the Hero Lab files for it work properly, but all in all it was a worthwhile expense and keeps the wife entertained:) I have had fun tweaking the monsters for more mayhem to throw at the players<WEG>! Now if I could only get the frogs to take flies instead of gold pieces<G>! <JK> Appreciate all the hard work from all the frogs, really do!

Well we are all excited to get it out. Like Shadow mentioned, there was a lot of interesting coding that went into it. We tried to help with the editing process as well and making sure that the stat-blocks were correct, sent feedback and notes to the editors and writers to help clarify some things, and all in all a huge team effort to get the best possible product into your hands. Both written and electronic format. The DCF's got the finished product the same time that you all did, so we have been diligently working to get the final changes into the HL files.
I tried to keep out of the RC coding and work on other future projects since Shadow is running this campaign for our group. Since I was not directly involved in the coding of it, I am just working on doing the final testing this week. Hopefully, this will catch the last of the tweaks, but there is a place for people to report anything that is missed.
Brvheart, as you mentioned, there was a learning curve for FGG with the RA files that had an unexpected impact on the customer. They did listen to the feedback, and that is how myself and a few other people got involved to help them with these files. We have gone to great pains to help prevent this from happening on such a scale again. I don't know how much I am allowed to say on the subject just yet, but I assure all of you that you will be surprised at how we have worked it to deal with that exact problem. Once the files are released, I will elaborate on this more.
(As far as the flies go...Skeeter been keeping us locked up in the deepest of the caves with only our laptops for light so that we get this finished...He keeps forgetting to feed us though...send some flies our way! lol)

Is that a hint Brvheart? :)
I had told them that I would finish my review and have it to them yesterday, but I missed that deadline. My younger brother just found out that he is being deployed to a 'hot zone' at the end of this month, so I was trying to spend time with him over the weekend. It just so happens that he came in from SC the one weekend that I was in Dallas from IL.
If I have to stay up all night tonight, I am going to have this ready to pass back to the DCF's sometime tomorrow. I know everyone is eagerly awaiting it.

You mean you don't prescribe to the tried and true Microsoft formula of releasing a beta and letting the end users tell you of all the bugs? Thanks, a few more days or weeks - what ever it takes:)
All evidence to the contrary (yes, our products have errors, shhhhh, dont tell anyone lol), we do TRY and catch everything before our books, files, etc go out the door.
its amazing, you can go through something with a fine tooth comb, and then the minute it hits print or whatever media publication form, one or two of the gremlins sneaks its way back in there.
it can be very hard to take sometimes. Other times, its downright soul-crushing. But, hey, there's always the next book to hope you got 100% right!

PS free advice: anyone who wants to be an editor for the rpg world, grow lots of thick skin before you dive in. If you make one mistake, no matter the size, you'll hear about it....

It is sad, but true. There are soo many combinations of things with PF, and other 3PP products or house-rules, that the coders can not think of every combination to test. The good thing about the way that we are doing the files is that we will be able to update most errors a lot faster than most other products.

Any updates on ETA? :D im getting really excited!
I was able to get an update today from LW. The file is still in the review phase on their side. They have a big release coming out soon so they were trying to finish that one up. Once they finish their review process, and give it their seal of approval, we (The Deep Cave Frogs) can send BlondeFrog the details to include in the newsletter. (Maybe like why it went to LW for their review. I am sure that some are wondering about that one!)
We are excited to get it released to, and are anxiously awaiting the release of this monster.

LW, I am guessing that has something to do with the Herolab people? In any case thanks for the update. Yes, a lot of us are anxious for this release!
LW (LoneWolf) is the company that runs HL.
They did get back to us last night (people are working around the clock to get this in your hands) and gave us a couple of minor notes to look at. I should be able to address their points today and get the needed changes in.
Basically, what this means is that we are very close to the end. It shouldn't be much longer until it is in your hands.

The Rappan Athuk files are $14.99 so would doubt they would be too much more than that. Sounds like there is more to this one so it might run a bit more though.
Speaking of it though, I started working on some of the NPC's and am wondering if you are using a different Wereshark template as I come up with slightly different stats for Dalang in Hybrid and Shark form?

Honestly, I don't know. My DM is supposed to be running my group through RC, so I tried very hard to stay away from the monsters. I don't want to know what is coming if I am going to be a player in it.
Maybe Lou or someone could comment on this?

How is this for a RC Starting point:
DO to all there Gear being tossed in a chest to sell, they need to list everything they had. She gives them some masterwork gear to tide them in town till she can sort it all out. They will get all there gear back in a few days of game time... But for now it forces them to hang around town.

ACK!!! BAD Goraxes!!!! I try to read these posts and don't want to know about the stuff. My DM is supposed to be running it for our group, so I am trying to stay away from the details. LOL
Actually, I think there has been a lot of discussion about how to start it on this thread here.
