I am trying to order a print/PDF bundle as a gift. However, when I get to the "Select Gift Recipients" screen, I get a message "Download recipients must have a paizo.com account" and if I click on the "Continue Checkout" button, nothing happens. There's no print only option for this item, so it appears that I simply can't order it as a gift?
It would be great if you could fix this issue so that I can place the order, and even better if the print copy could be sent to my friend's postal address, while I could download the PDF from my paizo.com account.

When you gift a PDF, or a bundle that includes a PDF, you must specify the paizo.com account of the person receiving the gift, so that we can add the PDF to their account. Until you do that, you can't proceed.
You can't split a bundle—the print and PDF editions need to go to the same recipient.
Isn't there an issue with gifting print copies, given neither the orderer nor paizo can be sure the address is current?
I seem to remember the gift option only works for electronic items.
Having said that, if I understand the OP you want to download the PDF yourself and gift the physical copy? You could just temporarily change your address to your friend's, place the order, then change it back for subsequent orders.
Thanks for your responses. I wanted to give both the print copy and the PDF to my friend, but he doesn't have a paizo.com account, and I didn't want to have to say to him "Please go to paizo.com and sign up for an account so that I can give you a surprise gift of a PDF". So I was hoping I could download the PDF myself and send it to him. (I want it to be watermarked for him, not me - I already have a PDF of it that I bought from Paizo - which is why the changing my address workaround isn't ideal.)
However, I understand that there may well be good reasons why assigning his PDF for download from my pazio.com account is not possible. So, what I'd like to do is just gift him the print copy; but, as I said in my original message, this isn't currently possible, as there is no print only option for this item.
The only thing I can suggest - which is a bit unorthodox - is to create an account for him, and then when he gets his physical gift in the mail, you can tell him he can go to the Paizo site and download the PDF as well using [insert Account Name & Password Here]. Make sure to tell him to change his password after he signs in for the first time.
Also, try to pick a name you think he'd like... 'jerkface' may be funny, but he may not have as good a sense of humor as the rest of us. ;)
