Master puppeteer always deny their occult rulership with derision on the public place.

You're not fooling anyone here DeathQuaker! Your overwhelming influence over Paizo is undeniable. Now you can only hide your absolute control by dictating more boobplate art!!!

If we had more male characters like Seltyiel in fantasy art in general,, I think people would less up-in-arms.

Obviously, I am not a master puppeteer, but if I were, I would be more subtle and simply request more artwork where women are not wearing plate (or breastplate) armor at all.

Of course, if there is a sudden upsurge in Seoni, Feiya, Reiko, Lirianne, Alahazra, Amiri, Kyra, and Merisiel art, that is purely coincidental. Especially if it comes with a doubled production of Seltyiel and Sajan artwork, definitely a coincidence, and absolutely nothing to see here. And if Imrijka, Lini, and Seelah suddenly start wearing a nice comfortable shirt... or bikini... or very well... fitted... leather... I had nothing to do with it, I swear.

So boobplate is bad but boobleather is good?

Boobs are good.... or boobs are god (I am now thinking of starting a religion).

I think they confer the ability to Daze once per target per day..... Boobs come all sorts of wonderful shapes and sizes and I don't want to exclude anybody from Man boob to sculpted pec to small to large sized boobs (real and spectacular being my favourite).

At the risk of going ridiculously off topic about my personal aesthetics... I like things that look organic and flowing, and emphasize the beauty of the entire body. Because plate armor is hard and rigid, it does not compliment the softness of the female breast even if it is modeled to look like one. They often have weird necklines or other lines along them that I find disrupt the flow of the human form as well. And finally, of course, it draws the eye too much to just one part of the body, when I want to appreciate the entire form, not just one (albeit attractive) part of it. I don't mind the "sensible plate" as depicted in the original post because the example pictures in fact follow what my personal sense of aesthetics a more natural line along the body, without outlining its details in an exaggerated, hard, and garish way. Even if you can't see explicit details about the body underneath the armor (which for me is not a necessity to admire a beautifully drawn image of a woman--or any human being), it works as a single piece still to show a whole, beautiful woman.

Leather or cloth or whatever can also look awful or excellent just as metal armor can, but in the particular examples of Paizo's iconic art, for the most part the ones not wearing boob-shaped metal follow the more "flowing" aesthetic I prefer (although Amiri actually doesn't much either).

While we're here and discussing what I like in clothing designs for sexy ladies, I also hate halter tops because I don't like how it bisects the human torso. For example, Jim Lee's Huntress costume is IMO one of the ugliest superheroine costumes that didn't come out of the 80s.

And that's all I have to say on that, and I'm sorry for helping derail the conversation.

Interesting....

What about nipples on the batsuit--err, leather armor?

Shadow Lodge

I would prefer a high dexterity some bracers of armor and of course simulacrum and mirror image.

Since probably none of us is going to be found any time soon charging on horseback into a tide of slavering orcs clad in a pair of steel-plated 48DDs welded onto the front of a suit of armor, I suppose historical and physical accuracy are BOTH secondary.

Look, if somebody derives some measure of happiness from occasionally looking at boobplate, let 'im.

This is not the 1950s. We do not need to police everybody's horny. (And even if it WAS the 1950s, the only difference would be that everybody would have to covet boobs in secret - and that really doesn't change the fact that they are being coveted, does it?)

I haven't noticed anyone here advocating that you should physically restrain anyone from looking at boobplate.

This this was the logic, she would be better off to go "All In" with a chainmail bikini.
Until you fight your first female, gay, or not interested humanoid, or your first monster.

Note: I said "better off" not good.

Actually, given how dangerous Boobplate is, I will stand by this statement.

Reason - as I believe I have said before upthread - is that a chainmail bikini would, atleast, be light weight.

Just skimmed over some parts so someone could have said it:
If you want Boob Plate, why not just fill the boobs in the armor. No more danger to your sternum ans you still have the looks.

This could be done with an inner layer of metal and hollow "boobs" or by filling them with something lightweight like cork.
This is not meant in any way to create realism. Just to make it work.

Yep I said that :-)

Boobplate doesn't really bother me. Then again, I often DM highly cinematic adventures where people have swordfights on flying carpets and saying "This is a crazy plan, but it might just work" yields possitive results 90% of the time.

I prefer to imagine that "Boobplate" is filled with, um, you know, uh, um...hey is that a Unicorn?
