Tome of Magic wouldn't have anything I don't think. Its about shadowcaster, truenamer, and binder if I remember my books right. Complete Scoundrel/Mage/Arcane would have something. Possibly adventurer, but I don't have the books on me right now.
Arcane Trickster is the first thing that comes to mind though. Pathfinder or 3.5 version, they're about the same.

if You want you could always run the old spellwarp sniper.
The ability to modify your AOE's into rays is nice for when you hit those single targets to deny them save for half. Doesn't matter how you prepare it you decide whether to warp on casting.
You have regular scaling of a modified version of sneak attack for ray spells, and you'll get it fairly regularly if you bother to get improved invisibility.
Free precise shot, empower 1/day with no adjustment, higher hit die than most 3.5 mages, medium BAB, full spell casting, the ability to sneak attack with rays up to 60 feet out, and the ability to coup de grace with rays
Edit: page 64 of the complete scoundrel.

Well Arcane Trickster is the obvious one.
An Umbral Court Agent or Veiled Illusionist might be interesting choices for more casty oriented Rogue sorts.
