I’d like to offer congratulations to Michigan’s newest 4-Star GM, Dennis Wheelock (AKA uncleden). Dennis is not only a workhorse GM but a pillar of the event organizing in Southeast Michigan. He has a long organized play history in both Detroit & Chicago. Dennis started playing PFS back in 2008. When I burned out on event organizing, he stepped in and revved the engine. The only reason he’s not a Venture Officer is because he’s a rebel at heart. He was in the Shadow Lodge before it was a faction ;-). We are lucky to have him. A few weeks from now he’s got a big Detroit event organized at our original FLGS, RIW Hobbies, and you can check it out on Warhorn if you’re going to be in the neighborhood! Thanks for everything Dennis! Illegitimi non carborundum!!

Congratulations, man; it's a hell of an achievement! Maybe we'll see you out our way in Fowlerville for Linkscon in May :)

Doug, Thanks for the latin I had to google. I like it. I started in organized play in living Greyhawk year 6. When LG ended I decided to go with Pathfinder society. Do to a lack of games in my area I decided to host a game day.
Since I started running events at RIW, in September 2009, I've had the honor of hosting 296 tables plus a few where I lost the tracking sheet. 28 people have given their time to GM to help make this event go. Several of these GMs had never GM'ed a game before. I thank all of them for taking their turn behind the screen and making it happen.I still long for the regional play days of Living Greyhawk and the abundance of cons that went with it. Then you had a reason to pile a couple of friends into the car and drive to the next state to game, namely 3 full days of stuff you could not play at home. Now I find I attend out of state cons because I would like to see the friends that I made back in the LG days. Which brings me back to why I still do this. I'm still making friends with those I meet through gaming. I organize games to help others do the same. In modern times your social circle is like your extended family. I feel the same about many of you, even if some of you are that cousin that you don't own up about. ;)
Chicago and Milwaukee people, I will see you at CodCon.
Dick, I thought I had all those paper records expunged.
Everyone else, thanks for the kind words.
