Hello Folks,
I'm playing in one game, which is, at the moment, a 3.5 game. The GM told me he will switch to pathfinder soon.
My problem is the following: I started as a fighter with rolled stats. I'm have an high average and thats nice, even if I don't have an 18 in strength...
For roleplay reasons my character became a paladin of torm. With his low, low charisma score of 10.
I give you a rundown about my current attribute scores:
Str 15
Dex 15
Con 17
Int 14
Wis 13
Cha 10
As you see, charisma is my lowest score... I've got combat expertise and when we will switch I will take the trip feats I have at the moment. The character is currently fighter 2/paladin 1 and I've earned a level, so I have to consider which attribute to raise. I thought about Str or Cha.
Now my question: Is there any way to migitate this? Any way at all?

If your GM is going to convert to Pathfinder from 3.5 then it is your GM's responsibility to allow everyone to make the necessary adjustments to assure that their characters work as intended. This would likely mean swapping your Int, Wis, and Cha to 13, 10, and 14 Respectively.

The easiest answer would be to join the church of Torm as one of their holy warriors--their "paladins"--but don't take any levels of Paladin. Just keep being a fighter. There's no reason you can't be an official member of the militant church without taking actual levels of Paladin.

Oh yeah! I absolutely forgot that. Thanks!
Take a paladin archetype that swaps out divine grace.
You can still be an effective smiter, your charisma won't affect your damage bonus.
Thats also a very good idea. Paladin archetypes, coming up... OK, what would you recommend:
Oath of Savagery - getting MORE reach is nice, I have a reach weapon already...Empyreal Knight and Sword of Valor are not so fitting for this character... And no way this character would take Oath of Chastity, he is in the beginning of an romantic relationship. ;)

I will certainly keep on raising my fighter level. At the moment my good Johan is very zealous (like every good newly converted ;) ). But especially in PF Fighters get much love.
To all the posters who talked about rearranging stats: Maybe I'll do that. But I want to try everything else before that... And the tips I've got are good. I think I can look in bright paladin future. :) Thanks everyone!

I don't like it myself very much, but it is usually recommended around the boards to take oath of vengeance for more smites, then extra lay on hands. With your charisma your smite is more like a cavalier's challenge (only vs. Evil) but still superior, because you ignore all DR your opponent may have. Make good use of Divine Bond.

+1 to mpl industries, be LG and act as a Paladin would. Shoot take an oath and see if you can get a boon, but there's no reason you should have to take levels in paladin.
If you must play an actual paladin, there's no BIG rush to improve your charisma. I would just save up for a Headband of Charisma. You could probably continue to improve your headband at the same speed that your spell level increases.
EDIT: Fixed in the first paragraph where it said "there's no reason you should have to take levels in fighter." to "levels in paladin"

That's what I was going to say... Er the second part anyway!

This is the best answer. There's nothing stopping you roleplaying as a paladin even though you aren't one.
You could even call yourself a Templar or Knight instead.

As I wrote above, I have one paladin level already. I'm really unsure if I should take the next level as a paladin or a fighter. Fighter doesn't get me anything (at the moment, because we are still playing 3.5), but paladin will also give me nothing (because in 3.5 you have to have Cha 12 for Lay on Hands). Hmmm... Ok, time to talk to the GM.
