The beast trails.... and character deaths

Carrion Crown

I am currently running this module with 3 of my friends but they gotten too combfy and think everything is easy(not exactly true but mostly). They are sorta power gamers with a little side of munchkin (I'm not much better at most times)but I want to get them to pick a definitive alignment, they flip and flop from good and evil, by getting them in life or death, where they will have to either leave one behind or have most of them die or close enough.

One is a gnome alchemist (probably wont change any ways if he dies :P)
a dwamphir synthesis
and a Iron born fighter/cavalier

Not sure if what you're suggesting is a good idea especially as it sounds like you have decided the outcome. Give them a tough, challenging encounter (maybe a past enemy that holds a grudge against a specific member of the group) but I wouldn't plan on a specific outcome like the one you outlined. Especially as a way for them to pick an alignment. Just have them pick an alignment.

Also, where are you in the AP?

That said challenging a 3 person party should be pretty easy.

we are just starting the book :P and most of them dont care about character dieing as long as I don't make it impossible to run :P im not meaning to make it sound like out come like i did sorry :(

So if they flip-flop between good and evil, they're probably Chaotic Neutral.

Assign them that alignment and have done. Unless one of them's a Paladin, Monk, Druid/Cleric, or Barbarian (which none of them are) it doesn't particularly matter what alignment they are.
