Backstory for a Android wizard in kingmaker.

I really kind of like the idea of playing android wizard. Can anyone help me think of a backstory to justify being on in kingmaker? Any non-spoiler tie ins with setting?

Well, Numeria is practically next door. This is feasible.

The Technic League would be very displeased to have an android running off, so I would use that in the backstory. You don't have to use the league as the reason you left though. Maybe you have a natural curiosity that only adventuring will satisfy.

Talk to your GM about any possible NPCs that could fit with your background as well. There may be a few that could elevate your background.

There's also a TP race which could well fit nicely - Ironborn.
One of the original players in my game played one. His backstory was that
he was the creation of a Drow wizard. (Albeit his PC wasn't a wizard - but
a rogue with wizardly pretensions.)

If your DM allows TP material - I'd check out Ironborn of Questhaven.

Dissident against the Technic League would work. You could be trying to create a secure refuge for Androids and other free-willed constructs.
