Character Idea: Greek / Roman Gods

How would you build them? In particular, I would like to see Thanatos on paper.

My impression of the gods from the Odyssey and Iliad are that they are maybe a level higher than maximum for humans in your world, with a few spell like abilities or magic items that are oddly powerful.

For example, Aphrodite was called a "weakling goddess," who a hero could dispatch. So if you make a high level humans' max maybe 12th level, the gods would be high stat 13th level characters with spell like abilities, but some of them might just be Experts or something.
