Laundry and dishes done thanks to my most Excellent Husband. Cards are all done except for ONE that goes out later this month. Hehehehe....hehe. Oh....well, I guess that would be next week wouldn't it...well...now I just got four boxes left to pack. Time to get to it!

I'm sorta breathing...it's hard when you can't take a breath. I'll be fine...it's just another hectic weekend and I don't sleep well when there are other people in my house that need to keep lights on and stuff. I'm just tired and cranky and don't feel good.
Why can't I just sleep in? Is it a crime or something?

Made cheese omelets for mom, dad, and me. Well...split one for mom and dad, they don't eat much in the mornings. Plus toast with a little butter and honey. I had some of my hot tea for my throat that's still bothering me. I'm all stopped up and am having a hard time breathing without coughing. My ears are....I don't know how to really describe it, but they kind of hurt and feel all stopped up. They were ringing a lot the other day and now I'm having a hard time hearing out of them.
I've tried everything I can think of to get them to unclog....but it's no use. I just have to hope that things don't get worse and that I'm better by tomorrow. I don't even want to think about tomorrow yet as I'm still trying to deal with today.

Whew....I am wore out! I'm hoping next weekend we can take things a little easier.
Ms. Sandy brought me another straw for my cup. I had to take allergy medicine last night and I'm still feeling a little groggy this morning....but I feel less congested. I just wish my ears would go back to normal. I'm still having trouble hearing.

Well....our friend Michele comes through again. The people we have met through this church that we've been going to have truly been a God send.
With everything going on with the car, Mother's day, friends having surgery....etc...Henry completely forgot about the insurance payment that was gonna be drafted from our bank account until he got the email today....and we don't really have any money in the bank cuz we've been spending it all trying to get this silly vehicle fixed. So...Michele is gonna loan us the money to put in the bank for the draw tomorrow until we get paid on Thursday and then we'll pay her back. I am just constantly surprised, moved, and touched by the Blessings that these people have become to us.
That's why when everything seems to be falling apart for her, I'm having her come over and stay for Chicken Taco Night. Yummy yummy.
Sorry for being so absent. Went to a friend's wedding Saturday, found out my paternal grandmother was being moved to a hospice, then found out she passed this morning. So yeah, I'm a bit out of it at the moment.
Good to have good friends, and have the opportunity to be a good friend in turn. It's never quite as dark as it seems.
I'm sorry for your loss Nick. I understand how hard these things can be even when you're essentially prepared for it. May her memory be a blessing.
We had dinner and had to talk for a while. I'm sure everything will be okay. They just haven't been married that long and neither one has been in a relationship for a very long time....so they're basically getting used to being in a relationship again and that can be hard for some.
Anyways....it took quite a bit of time and Henry wasn't feeling well so he's already in bed and I'm headed there myself since I took a Zyrtec and am feeling quite exhausted as well and was falling asleep on the couch.

Oh and Nick, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
I'm kind of debating whether to go to work tomorrow or not. I get 4 days of bereavement leave, and I'm not sure when the service is. I don't know. Maybe I should.

Yeah, I'm going to take the rest of the week off. It may take a while for the funeral to be planned, and when it happens I'll use PTO.

I am just feeling super sick to my stomach. I'm pretty sure it's because of all the icky sinus drainage though. I just really need some more sleep. I just can't miss work.

I had been sleeping when I woke up like that. I went almost right back to sleep after laying back down. I took a Zyrtec last night cuz I breathed in so much of that dust on Saturday that my allergies were just acting up really bad. It just makes me really sleepy and since I didn't sleep well last night, I'm super groggy this morning.
So....I liked those BIG straws that Sandy was bringing me for my cup soooo much that today she brought me an entire package of them. Like 50 of them....I was soooo happy. It's the little things in life. Lol
I guess it kind of makes up for burning three of my fingers last night while making the tacos. I've got blisters on three of my fingers on my left hand....but the one on my pinkie is the worst. I use my fingers to help steady the tacos as I flip them in the hot boiling oil, and somehow my fingers ended up underneath the taco....IN the boiling oil. Only for a few seconds....but I guess that was long enough.
Get tongs!
Nope. I do what I want, I'm outta control! Lol I don't burn myself all the time, and my fingers work better at helping me turn the tacos over.
Using tongs AND a spatula would be unwieldy at best. I be alright.
My condolences, Nick. Take as much time as you need. Things'll get moved along one way or another.

It's my sick season apparently since the stupid weather can't make up it's mind. Henry too....my poor boobear. I hope work isn't too hard on him today, he still isn't feeling well.
We will be better someday. I'm still groggy this morning even though I didn't take a Zyrtec last night, but the half cup of coffee and salted caramel biscotti helped with that as did my oatmeal. ;o)
