*nods* Yes...yes we do. Those kids were like holy little terrors today. A bunch of them surrounded me and tried pulling me off one of those little block chairs...it kind of hurt my back and by the end of the day I was exhausted. After I came home, showered, and put my sleep set on I actually laid down in the bed and rested for a while....I never lay down right after getting home from work....but I did today. I fell over one of the kids because they laid down right in front of me as I was walking too, but it's okay cuz the shelf broke my fall.

I passed smooth the F out last night. Almost as soon as I turned and Henry's arm was over me and I didn't wake up for nothing till the alarm went off this morning. Damn I was tired.

A little better. Really rough night. Apparently the flu has been going around his school and yesterday the teacher switched around the seating at the tables (they do it each month).
Keeping him home today.

I'm better, but I'm still kinda congested and having really bad stomach issues....but I think at least part of that is cuz of the antibiotics. I know how miserable it is to be sick. Just tell him I'm thinking about him and hope he feels better real soon.

I made shredded bbq beef tacos last night, and tonight I'm making chicken with garlic and cilantro tacos...with a little hot sauce and mango salsa for flavoring. We're having it with rice. I didn't feel like having beans and goat cheese this time.

I returned to my department after not being there for four days. I had set a cosmetic modular last Thursday which was due this Monday. The company had not sent any fixtures or signage until Monday. I saw the two boxes of fixtures today, took the signage and lights I needed out of the boxes and put them up. The rest of the fixtures were extraneous and we don't have space to keep crap we don't need, so I threw them out. Not more than five minutes after I threw them out, I was told that two vendors had shown up for that modular asking about the fixtures.
First, they were two days late showing up. Second, they never called to inform me that they were coming. Our paperwork usually shows that a vendor will show up to set the modular but nine times out of ten they never show up. So, I already had my assumptions in place.
I told them I threw out the fixtures, said the modular was already set and we didn't need extra things laying around. They harassed me, told me the modular was wrong and threatened to call the corporate office. I had to crawl into the trash compactor chute (which is something I could have been fired for) and fish out the two boxes.
The end result is the modular looked exactly the same as it did when I did it. There was no f****** reason for me to risk my job on their behalf. Esas pendejas pueden ir al infierno.
I informed my manager of what I had done and he told me to act as if nothing happened (regarding the compactor incident). Luckily, I wasn't reprimanded or fired. I actually had my first interview for the department manager position.

Wow, that's some bull**** and a half.
Wonderful luck to you.

I'm not sure why you'd be answering to a vendor? I'd have called their bluff since they didn't have the paperwork in order all that s&*% would have been on them anyway.

Sādhanā |

Lol. I guess I was lucky.
When I worked at Sak's in the cosmetics stockroom, all the vendors loved me and every holiday season, I was going home with bottles of vodka and champagne as gifts. Of course it probably helped that they were all women and I was single at the time. heh

Good, I'm sorry he's still feeling icky though. I've not been able to get rid of this cough either. I never had a fever with it though I don't think.
Today a parent brought their kid, as usual, even though they we're totally lethargic and not acting like themselves. We had our nurse come in and check him and his fever was over 102! Needless to say he won't be here tomorrow.

Arista Milocathe |

Sooo...how's he been doing since getting home from school? I usually feel better after getting home and resting for a while, but in the morning and while at school...like when things get really busy I'll just start coughing and can't stop.

Awwww.....
So...today I've had to play marriage counselor twice. Most recently a few minutes ago to my friend that JUST got married because she found some OLD cards that some other girlfriend had given him like back in 1993 and completely wigged out about it. I told her she was being ridiculous and that the past belongs in the past. Obviously he was with her now and didn't care a thing about what happened in the past and that is was her issue and she needed to learn how to deal with it and get over it before it ruins her marriage.

I said a lot of other stuff too.....it was a long conversation, but essentially I told her that whatever happened in his past, that he was with her now and only her and that if she's gonna hold things like that over his head that all it would do is foster an unhealthy relationship with no trust and plenty of resentment. She has to stop comparing herself to all his past girlfriends, or they will never have a complete and happy relationship.
Sorry sorry...I'm done venting. She just got me so worked up that I had to take some super super nasty cough syrup so I could stop coughing and give my bronchial passages a chance to relax so I can sleep tonight. It was liquid promethazine and the most awful stuff you never want to taste in your whole life. The nasty crap also acts like kind of a sedative and helps me relax so hopefully I'll be ready for sleep in an hour or so, if I can get my stupid brain to shut the hell up now.

Arista Milocathe |

Okay, I gotta get to bed. I am so tired and I got one more day to go and then I can rest. Hopefully I can shake the rest of whatever this is over the weekend and be better next week.

1993? Did they even know each other existed in 1993? That's just stupid.

Arista Milocathe |

Exactly....she's getting all worked up over nothing. I can't believe how childish she's acting. It pissed me off last night and I felt so bad for Rick. I wasn't able to go to sleep when I wanted to either cuz I couldn't stop thinking about it. Why do people feel the need to get stupid with me about idiotic relationship issues that shouldn't even be issues when I'm supposed to be getting ready for sleep? I should have cut her off, but I'm not that kind of person. Much to my detriment.

Oh...by the way....HE GOT IT! Henry is now Department manager and once his schedule gets fixed he'll only have to work ONE Saturday a month. I'm so proud of my boobear. He's been working really hard for those soulless bastards and he deserves this....well, he deserves so much more....but this is a good start. I love you so much baby, and I'm so proud of you and happy for you. *Smoochies*

Arista Milocathe |

I will probably have to go back out and deal with more idiot people though because I need to get some red potatoes, carrots, and onion for a roast that I'm gonna make tomorrow. Was too hungry to go to the store earlier...though I went to Kroger to get some orange juice and cigs for Henry cuz hims was tired and I didn't want to make him go out again...but on my way back was when the jackassary happened that made me want to get out of my vehicle and beat the damn foolishness out of some bastard that was blocking my way into the driveway by taking up the whole damn thing and acting like a pissy teenager because I was trying to let him turn left so I could get in...but OH NO...senior $hit head just HAD to act like a funking a$$hole and make gestures at me like I didn't know HOW to turn into a drive way, after giving him a few gestures of my own and telling him to go to hell, I squeezed between him and another car and had to drive all the way around the back side of the apartment complex where all the drug dealers hang out to make it to our apartment.
Now that I've eaten and feel a little calmer and maybe not so much like ripping someones spine out through their chest, I'll get some clothes on and go out to Wal Mart to get what I need for my roast cuz I don't care what other people do....I will NEVER go to a store in my pajamas.
