Summon monkey: a character who takes Spell Focus (Conjuration) and then Augmented Summon. Used to be a lot more common back in olden times, before the Summoner (hawk, spit).
Anyway: suppose I wanted to build a low-midlevel sorceror (3rd to 6th) with these two feats and with the preferred tactic of summoning creatures to pound hell out of her enemies. (Yes, I know a specialist conjurer would be better. Just want to try a sorceror.)
So how can this be made to work? Which bloodline would go best with this, and what other spells?

On a cursory glance over the bloodlines, it seems that the Abyssal bloodline is the best suited towards this goal. For one, the summons get DR/Good which is not likely to be something you have to worry about in a game. Also, if you do happen to summon fiendish things you get more of them when you do. On top of that, Augment Summoning is on the bonus feat list which helps. As far as other spells, I'd recommend going with buffs, things that make the party as well as the summons more awesome.

Make sure you get superior summons, that feat is amazing against foes without DR. The main issue with sorcerer summoners is spells known, so you might want a human for their favored class bonuses. (You could probably don't need the hit points as much since you can just hide invisible around a corner and spam summons if s!#~ hits the fan.) And be ready to use most of your "spell swaps" to exchange lower level SMs for useful spells.
Other good spells... well, Haste adds a lot of extra oomph to summons, and starting a battle with summon -> haste your critters and all your allies will earn you some friends amongst the other pcs.
Summoning a few things with darkvision and then casting Darkness on one and having them surround an enemy can be quite effective. Similarly, casting Silence on one and sending it after an opposing caster is nice too.
Strap a few Explosive Runes to one and they become pretty decent suicide bombers against literate opponents...

If you could somehow get summon natures ally on your spell list, moon light summons feat is not restricted to just natures ally for its effect, and you would get natural attacks that bypass silver. Sunlight summons is the same thing but vs magic and starlight summons does cold iron.
Ferocious summons keeps them alive longer with ferocity.
