We'll start a new campaign in a couple of months once I can build a new world. What? You'd like to start sooner? Well, sorry, but I have to rebuild a world, and that'll take time.Seems like the Fighter player won on that deal.
Less than 5 seconds of douchery to impel you to undertake months of work? I'd take that deal any time too.
But you see, you don't really rebuild the world. You just don't play with that group for several months. And good luck to them finding a new GM.
You can even find a new group during that time. One that won't ruin the game because they have a##hats in it.

Thanks, Hama.
That's exactly what I did when I did have a character end the world. I removed the one city they'd seen from the world, and left the rest of it, overall campaign thread and everything in place.
So my entire 'workload' was to rebuild one starting city, and I could use most of that city. And the lesson to the entire group was, "Don't intentionally screw everyone else over."
Yes, it was an entire group like that, so booting one player wouldn't have helped. Citerose would be ashamed of all of us. What can I say? We were teens, we had booze, and we liked RPGs. Those of us brave enough to GM those sessions hammered home the core rules of PC behavior with a sledgehammer.
