Rage Prophet: Does or does not give more rage?

Rules Questions

I was under the impression that RP gave you more rounds of rage just like barbarian levels did but someone just told me they don't think it does.

So, does it? It couldn't really stick you with limited to no rage until you hit the 6th level and then force you to start sac'ing spell slots just to keep up the ability that all the class abilities revolve around, could it?

As written, Rage Prophet does not gain additional rounds of rage.

They only count their Rage Prophet levels for the effect of Rage Powers.

Wow, that seems... terrible.

You can get extra through a trait and feats. Alternatively some of the rage powers allow you to get more rage.

All in all, he is going to be a weaker melee fighter than a pure barbarian, and a weaker spellcaster than a pure oracle, but imo it is a quite harmonic mix of the two.

Quote:
Savage Seer: A rage prophet's class level stacks with barbarian levels for determining the effect of rage powers, and with oracle levels for determining the effect of oracle revelations and his oracle's curse. This does not grant additional abilities.

So no, it does not add to the rounds of rage.

Really? What trait? Maybe I'll salvage this awful character concept yet!

I don't think I have any feats to spare since there are no bonus feats in any of the involved classes and you gotta burn them to get rage powers and revelations already...

I believe he's referring to this one.

Nice! Thanks!
