I have noticed for a while that many of your products keep getting pushed to later dates in every month. If you keep finding yourself with delays on product production may i suggest a life saver. select a month and plan for no new products for that month and simply use that month to release products that you find yourself keeping to push back for other. like the excess drainage on a dam when water levels get a little higher. at least until you find your product production back on track.

I feel the pathfinder community will understand the need in order for you to get back on track again. I do believe some people will find it annoying after a while when they keep looking forward to products and keep having them pushed back. because as it is now, you are releasing a whole lot of stuff in April and some of us who use a monthly allowance to buy your products will be swamped with the price of that months purchase.

It can be annoying. One solution for those who want a strict, regular payment schedule, is to purchase a paizo gift certificate for yourself and then immediately redeem it. That way every month on exactly the day you choose (or every fortnight if that suits your needs better) a predictable, set amount goes out and your store credit builds up.

If products go out on time, this will have no impact (you'll just buy store credit and immediately apply it). However, if there is a delay in one or more of the lines you're subscribed to your bank account wont notice. Your regular charge will be billed and you'll just save up that credit to be automatically applied whenever the book ships.

It's not as good as getting everything released on the exact, planned day. Nonetheless, it does provide a workaround for those looking for regularity in their paizo payments. (If you're going to do this, you need to go to your "My subscriptions" page and select the checkbox labelled "Use any available store credit for my subscription orders").

I don't use subscriptions. I purchase APs, PCs, and CSs, only for their PDFs both because their cheaper and that it is easier to lug around one tablet with a PDF reader then almost 100 little booklets around. the only times in which I purchased a physical copy are with the RPG mainline books and the RotRL anniversary edition (and even then I am willing to wait and go with Amazon). So I usually plan my budget in that manner and the subscriptions are at book price for book and PDF, of which the books will be on a self and probably collect dust. If a subscription was set for PDFs alone at PDF price, I would apply immediately without question.

I was suggesting the catch-up month in order to help the Pathfinder staff with this product bubble that is having great difficulties going away.

But if Paizo is okay with this bubble its fine with me.

I suspect they get even more irritated by it than we do.

I understand they've recently put things in place to attack the problem and although it still happens a little, it's nowhere near as bad as it has been. (Early last year was a particularly bad period for delays, from memory).

I guess skipping everything for a month would not be something they'd do lightly, given that the subscription model is so central to how they operate.

they wouldn't be skipping anything, they would plan a month during which the excess books can play catch up. in other words plan for nothing new, but a period for adjustments.

"Skip" in the sense that they'd produce 11 products in a year instead of twelve (for the monthly items, anyhow).
