In my opinion, Customization is one of the most important aspects of a multiplayer game. I would love to have the ability to color my clothes how I see fit for my character and my personality. Emblems are also an important feature to the guild system that I hope is implemented on release. Looking and feeling different from other players and guilds is imperative to me as a player.
Have these issues been confirmed or discussed?

I think a dye system is such an obviously popular feature that it's pretty sure to exist.
As to the emblems, yes, I hope they'll also include a 'heraldry construction kit'. It should include lots of common symbols and pictographs which a player can move around and colour in order to create personal and organizational crests. They'd then get a pattern which a clothworker could turn into a flag or surcoat, or a limner could paint on a shield.

There's also been some discussion that Wayne Reynolds' art style means it's likely there will be lots of accoutrements (I don't like talking about "bling" in a fantasy setting) that we can use to customize the way our characters look.
