[Annapolis, MD] Looking to join a game

Gamer Connection

Hi all, just moved into the area (from Maine) and I'm looking to join a PF game (or another system) in the area. I enjoy running games as well, but with the recent move I'd rather not over commit. If you're looking for another player (38/M) I'm available most evenings. Give me a holler.

Cheers.

Dan

Is Greenbelt close enough for you? If so, you may want to check this thread.

Also, you might want to try the Family Game Store in Savage Mill. On that website, click on "Calendar" and you'll see a big schedule of games running there.

Thanks for the information. Greenbelt is further than I want to drive and I don't game at stores anymore (to distracting and uncomfortable). Looking for a home game (whether at mine or someone else's home)

I just spend way too much time looking up the word "else". Sigh.

@sheadunne: I'm in Annapolis as well and was recently looking for games, but think I'm set at this point. I think you'll find that Baltimore or DC are your best chances for gaming tables, especially if you aren't up for PFS at stores. It's a little further drive, but I'm not aware of any other options in the "greater" Annapolis area.

Try PFS Meetup Baltimore

Most of the PFS games in the actual DC area have been taking place at Victory Comics in East Falls Church. That is a much longer drive for you.

Greenbelt is only 20 minutes from Annapolis. It's actually closer than Baltimore.

Good to know. I guess I was just concerned about traffic on 50, especially if it's an evening weekday game. But hey, not used to the area yet.

Just saw that the greenbelt game is on the weekends during the day, which makes it difficult for me (Saturdays are usually family days). I'll keep looking. I may just need to start a game.

Thanks for the heads up!

I commute to Annapolis every day. Traffic is only really bad going toward the bridge or if you try to get on 97 going toward Baltimore. 50 isn't not generally bad going to toward DC until you get past the Beltway. Weekends in the summer it can be a headache getting back to Annapolis, but that is only because everyone is trying to get to the beach.

Welcome to the area, I recommend El Toro Bravo for cheap mexican food if you are in the city proper and if you didn't make it this year, make sure you go to the Maryland Rennesaince Festival next year. It's like 10 minutes from Annapolis.

You'll learn all the backroads soon enough.

I'm still looking for a game.

Weeknights are the best time for me to game.

Started a meet-up group for the Annapolis, MD area.
