Somehow I 100% completely missed the Kickstarter for the real game......

Pathfinder Online

Even though I funded the technology demo!

Is there any way for me to help support the game at this point?

I bet they could come up with some kind of early bird special... I'm sure you will not be the only one wanting to do this. Goodluck!

The $500 pledge level was for guilds with 6 slots in them. I suspect there are some guilds with spare slots and there'd be some way if you asked to find a place in one.

Definitely. I pledged at the guild level, mostly because I wanted to support the game. Now I have to find six people who'll be interested in playing!

And, uhm, figure out what to do with six copies of all those miniatures. Am I getting an armful of miniatures? *suddenly worried*

:)

Sounds like Slaunyeh is going to host the next tabletop game with his miniature army ;p

I am not sure how joining a guild helps the original poster "contribute" extra funds to the development :)

On a related note, I will point out the biggest issue when joining guilds can be finding one that has sufficient players in a compatible time zone. No matter how great the guild is, if they are only online at 5.00 am your local time its not much help to you.

First off, how the heck did you miss this Kickstarter! :) Seriously, we sent out so many emails and messages that folks were starting to complain! :)

As someone else pointed out, you aren't the only one I am sure. And, yes, there will be a way for you to get involved. Give us a month or so to sort through this whole Kickstarter craziness, and then watch these message boards or your email or both. We'll figure something out so folks like you can get in on the ground floor of Pathfinder Online. Just don't ask me what right now. :)

Craziness indeed. I guess you all didn't get much sleep in the last days.

I too have some friends that might give in to my incessant nudging and may jump the train, so such an option would be nice indeed.

I got to say I completely missed the KS for the tech demo. Only came across this one on the 25th December, can't remember how. I think it was the Emerald Spire that got my attention, and I was looking at pledging $15, where the Super PDF pack came along to bump me to $100. Only afterwards did I stall looking more into the PFO.

If you have something for Linux in the future, think of the Linux crowd that could not pledge more not having a client at time of this KS.

I have two slots open. PM me for details.

How is that possible? First I learned of this second KS was BECAUSE of the email and updates I got for being a tech demo backer! Not to mention this KS was blasted by Paizo.com website, email list, advertisements, interviews and all mayor gaming and MMO websites. So, how did you miss this, I am sure Lisa and Ryan want to know. :)

Good to hear! I pledged at the guild level which covers my regular pen-and-paper group, but found out last night that my nephew is also interested. Although he's an avid gamer, he missed the Kickstarter thanks to his post-graduation job interviews and then starting/training for his new job. I'll let him know that y'all are working on some ideas.

Thanks Lisa -- My wife and i got in with a Crowdforger Buddy level, but due to things being tight after Xmas (and the Runelords Collector's edition), we could not afford the $300 or so of add-ons that we wanted to get until about 3 days after the Kickstarter closed. This was both disappointing and aggravating.

Could GoblinWorks consider re-opening up the add-ons for those who pledged?

@Mike- They posted on another thread about funding that once they open the surveys to specify how you want to allocate your choices, that there'd also be a way to add other add-ons.

I'm not sure how I missed it too. It had closed down just four hours before I went to the KickStarter site. Looks like I'll be visiting in April and hopefully by then you'll have some free time to think about it.

Maybe it would be possible to make it like the crowdfunding projekt "Star Citizen". They started a Kickstarter campaign and you can also pledge money on their webside. The Kickstarter campaign closed at 2,1 million dollar and through their webside they made additionally 6 millions. And you can support them until the release of the game next year. Maybe this would be something for PFO. I think there would be enough people who wants to support the game but never heard of something called Kickstarter or crowdfunding.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah, I missed the entire thing as well. What makes it weirder is that Im often on the SRD and other PF sites as my regular gaming group plays almost nothing but PF.

Definately count me in for any opportunities to support the game. I would have especially liked to contribute at the guild level. Ah well, I need to listen more closely to the grapevine.

You can add more to your pledge when the survey gets to you. Lisa has said this in several posts. I'm in at the 400 level but I might add more myself, to bring a friend in and for a few add ons for myself.

Keep in mind that many of these things that were there as addon gifts will probably be purchasable down the line. Anything that involves printing has a strong incentive to be made into a publishing run, so that means you'll be likely get your chance to buy much of what was offered, conventionaly.

It's a simmilar situation as when PBS does donation runs. Most of what is offered as thank you gifts for a donation level is purchaseable conventionaly. The only things you're likely to be shut out of are the vanity items and the founder-only in game bonuses that were especially billed to be folks who kicked in on a given day or earlier. That unfortunately you and I are shut out of as that exclusive access was part of the deal.

Goblin Squad Member

I pledged 35 but with the survey I can bump that to 100. Would that grant me crowd forging status? Either way, I'm still pledging more

Here is one of Lisa's posts:

Don't worry about it. When we send you the Paizo.com survey in a few weeks, you will be able to add on options and pay for it then. All the options available during the Kickstarter will be purchasable at that time. So just wait until we do that and everything will be kosher.

Thanks bluddwolf!

I hope they add an option to purchase a spot in EE, even if it doesn't have any other benefits. Finally talked a friend into taking a look at PFO and they want to get into EE now.

For $175.00 you can bring in one friend at Croudforger ($100) level. That averages the cost for both of you to $87.50. I'm debating doing this as well.

I bought into the Epic Brew Master ($300) + $100 for extra 12 months sub. The Brew Master is the cheapest way to get into EE.

I'm looking at adding a few others:

Quote:

$30 - Three Months of Game Time

Extend the subscription time included with your Reward by +3 additional months! (Limit 3 per Pathfinder Online account)

Definately going with 3 for $90.00

Quote:

$10 - Honorable Title

Prior to arriving in the River Kingdoms, your character served with distinction elsewhere and was recognized for that service. You'll be able to choose a formal title for your character of Sir, Dame, Master, Brother, Sister, Father
or Mother. You will be able to control when this title is displayed to others in-game. One Honorable Title is required per character. You may purchase this Add-On multiple times.

$10 - Secret Salute

You will have access to a special title that commemorates your participation in the Kickstarter. Titles are selectable in game and you can determine when this title is displayed to other characters. You will be able to trigger an
on-command "emote" animation available only to Kickstarter backers! A fun way to commemorate the Kickstarter and to show solidarity with other Backers in-game! All characters on your account will have these
benefits.

$20 - The Memorial of Honor

In the middle of the Crusader Road is a mysterious structure that calls to nearby travelers. Characters who approach and are recognized elicit a display of eldritch power from the construct. Activating the structure removes unwanted disabilities that may have been inflicted in battle or by the acts of other characters. In addition, you may opt to have your real name inscribed on the monument, visible to any who choose to pause for deeper inspection. You may purchase this Add-On multiple times, once for each Character you wish to honor.

$20 - Twice-Marked of Pharasma

All characters in Pathfinder Online are marked by Pharasma and are thus able to return from the dead at the soulbinding points. You bear the same mark as all other characters but you have a second, distinctive mark
as well. None know why you bear this mark, nor what it may portend in the future, but be sure that Fate has many surprises in store for those who are Twice-Chosen by the Lady of Graves. The bearer of this second Mark
will have access to content and mechanical benefits distinct to those who are Twice Marked! One Twice-Marked of Pharasma Add-On is required for each character. You may purchase this Add-On multiple times.

All for an extra $150 when the survey is released, which will breing my total to $550.00 for kickstarter.

Game + 25 months ($475.00 value) of subscription time + all the extras
