Under the rules it says that any swarm that is fine or diminutive cannot be targeted by a single target spell, does this mean that it is not effected by spells such as acid splash, but it would be affected by spells such as burning hands? Thanks again!
That is correct, swarms are unaffected but any single target spell or ability and can only be affected by spells and abilities that target an area of effect (aoe).

That's why you should always carry around some alchemist fire, or other splash weapons.
Ah ok I see that, always wondered before this why so many people considered it so important for low level adventures.
