Furries are not okay

I'm getting extremely tired of seeing that shiny new mmo that everyone raves about and finding out that the thing includes bunny peple/fox people/wolf people/bear people, etc.

Does anyone else share my angst?

I will not play PFO the day catfolk, kitsune or anything similar becomes playable.

This thread seems horribly unnecessary and hostile. Playing a lycanthrope or other animal race does not even come close to being a furry.

If even the availability of such a race at some theoretical point in the future would make you not play this game, I'd say that's a very personal problem.

Bunny people? You mean elves?

How to take down a evil kingdom.
1. Add a anthropomorphic animal
2 ???
3. Watch the "angst". (Also see Profit)

In seriousness what's the big deal especially with creatures like kitsune that actually exist in popular mythology? Does the adding of more body hair turn you off that badly?

I do not and would encourage the MMO to include more options for different people.

I have never liked furries either. But I have to admit I have warmed to them over the years. The Charr in GW2 are legitimately cool. The ones in Skyrim were OK and TOR should have had wookies.

I've also become a straight up fan of steam punk fantasy over the straight Tolkien jazz.

What Suviont said. There is a huge difference between animal races existing and catering to furries. Animal races have existed in fiction far longer than Furries have been around, and will exist in fiction long after furries stop being a thing.

I won't speak for anyone else, but I'd love to play a Kitsune in Pathfinder online, in part because it would mean that the race would have some sort of human form / kitsune form mechanic.

Its like TWO racial models for your character for the price of one!
