Pathfinder first edition was a tense game of cunning and pursuit.
Clearly, the GM on the left is having a great time rending the hapless player on the right. How about those dungeon tiles! Old school!

Same here, more or less.
Low numbers and opposed rolling is working for a little side game I've got. e.g. d8 attack vs d6 defence, d12 stalk against a d10 wise wolf.
Glad to read about some of a similar bent, there is so much that can be done by doing what you will.
