Announcing Gamicon Chi March 8-10
We will be offering 75+ tables of PFS over 6 slots of gaming. We will offer every scenario from Season 4 up through February as well as the last four scenarios from Season 3.
There will be an auction, there will be dealers, there will be a video game library, there will be a board game library, there will be a TON of PFS going on.
It is happening at the Iowa Memorial Union which has a hotel attached and is about a block from historic Iowa City downtown (read: lots of pubs and grub).
How can you register to attend this awesome event? Simple, follow this LINK to register to attend the convention.
To then register to save your spot at a PFS table go to this LINK .
We will be opening up registration of players in one month but you can register for the site now. Until then, if you want to GM, shoot me an email at PFSIowa@gmail.com.
Living space confirmed...apparently been confirmed forever... >.>
Now just to see about getting there, and getting my Venture-Colonel (My wife) to approve.
Yarrr, I have registered for the Con and signed up to GM slots, am debating GMing a 3rd or not.
If I come out to Iowa, I'll just GM my brains out...ooo...I may have my own vehicle by then. No more sharing with the wifey! :)
opps, I missed the note about player registration not opening for a month and started registering to play after I signed up for a couple judge slots. Of course I can't do any more signing up now.
Rob, for you, I'll make an exception. Let me know by email what you want to play or run and I'll manually assign you to the slots :)
It's all good, I haven't figured out what else I want to run/play yet anyway. I'll let you know when I figure it out though :)
After checking with She Who Rules the Known Universe, I should be able to attend and gm a whole passel of tables.
I look forward to meeting all y'all.
Jon Dehning wrote: After checking with She Who Rules the Known Universe, Hrmm ... does her universe match mine? cause mine is awesome.. but everyone wants to leave my universe ... so rule a universie of 1 . me woot
Hoping this one will work out for me. It's the weekend right before Who's Yer Con though and I don't know if that will work for me yet.
The GM slots are filling nicely and some of my local GMs may be edged out by all the out of towners coming in, which is a good sign that a lot of people are coming

begins pulling on her cheer-leader costume
Ride and Room set. Just waiting for a response from Todd now.
Are there event codes up yet?
Are you providing either Session Trackers or Chronicle sheets?
Anything special I should know, ie how are prizes handled?
The event code is up on the Paizo site and I will be providing Session Tracking Sheets as well as chronicle sheets.
GMs will be responsible for Faction Missions, a copy of the scenario, dice/maps/figs and that's pretty much it.
I will of course have my GM kit at the convention in case any out of towners forget something :)
Will you be providing beer as well?
Unfortunately not at the convention itself. After hours, however, are a completely different story.
Hrmm .. there will be alcohol at my place .. but first you need to sign the bunny haram release form ... and get the secret password ...
Wait...there was a release form? I didn't sign that...and I'm not sure what the password is unless it's "Squee!"
Daniel Luckett wrote: Wait...there was a release form? I didn't sign that...and I'm not sure what the password is unless it's "Squee!" muahahaha ... you signed it in your sleep at another con and didn't know it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow ... Judges are really filling up fast ... now we need players... zomg players ... come and get your seats before they are all gone!!!!!
If the Who's Yer Con people don't get back to me soon, I'm skipping it and coming to this instead. Any way we can get Barfleet at Gamicon?
Tracy Windeknecht wrote: If the Who's Yer Con people don't get back to me soon, I'm skipping it and coming to this instead. Any way we can get Barfleet at Gamicon? Lol ... that would be awesome ...
Barfleet? I've got to be missing something...
Jon Dehning wrote: Barfleet? I've got to be missing something... Lol .. they are a group of awesome gamers .. that like to have druken fun at WYC in Indy ... there is more to it, but not that can be explained on the forums lol.
Groovy. I figured there was alcohol involved, but I knew not in what form or capacity.
Is it Barf-Leet? Or Bar-Fleet? The distinction is needed to be defined. :P

Find out for yourself then join the UBS Indycent! Todd was my sponsor at WYC last year and somehow gave me my official name which I found out at the next con.
Anyways, they do a bunch of other cons in the midwest. I'd say Incon (also in Indy) managed to be crazier because there was a competing party down the hall from our midnight madness slot (which was a misnomer since we didn't start until 2am).
NOTE: I take great pride in my Ustalivic impersonation, but my drunk Todd Morgan is spot on.
I do what I can to spread merriment and cheer (read: drunken debauchery) at any convention I attend.
My Barfleet name is Cadet Purple Worm after all...
Note to self: increase ratio of whiskey to beer. I'm sorry, liver.
Woot looking forward to 3rd year in a row participating at this Con, me and my friends have had a blast playing our Rogue group the last two years and have been debating on running them again or trying something new to throw off the DM's. LOL.

Your website said you got your computer drunk, and refuses to divulge relevant info.
Only looking for a couple more GMs to fill the slots, two on Friday, four on Saturday, two on Sunday.
Can't help ya, hoss. You already have me running a table at every slot. :)
How can I test the liver cross-training if I run a table every slot?
I keed, I keed.
wow ... we have people coming out of the workwork and bring their state germs with 'em ... Wisconsin .. Minnesnowta ... Missouri ... Indiana possibly ... and even one from Australia ...
come one come all ... we'll leave the light on for ya
I don't get credit for California?

And Ack.... forgot Michigan, the Iowa Transplant from California..
Yep .. Lights are on for y'all as well
Dunno how you forgot Michigan...It was YOUR diplomacy roll that convinced me to visit "your" con. :P
Daniel Luckett wrote: Dunno how you forgot Michigan...It was YOUR diplomacy roll that convinced me to visit "your" con. :P Heh ... and here I thought it was by coming to your convention and being an awesomely stellar GM
I have a "Friendly" rating towards you. You wanted me to be Helpful.
So, the DC would be 10 + My charisma (Let's say 16 since I work in a cha based job, and do cha based stuff successfully)
So, DC 13.
The aid you want me to do is something that may result in punishment.
So +15 (28)
It's Lengthy and complicated
+5 (33)
So, yea, the DC was 33... :P
I'll let you define your bonuses to how you met that DC. lol
Let's see ...
The bunny gives me a +5
The cat gives me a +5
The gnome gives me a +7 (since your gnomishly inclined)
I offered to let you crash on the floor of my apt +10
I ran an extra table at your convention so there is my final +6...
All I had to do was not roll a 1
1d20 + 33 ⇒ (4) + 33 = 37

So, with a +33 to the check, He had no chance to resist :-)
Will someone get the rules lawyer out of here :P

If I didn't have more respect for Paizo's moderation I'd flag his post.

I have opened player signup on the Warhorn site. Have at it people (and don't forget to actually REGISTER for the convention on the convention website as well).
Happy Gaming!
