About Noteleks
I started gaming at age 12 with first edition D&D but didn't really get serious about gaming until I was about 16 and advanced D&D 2nd edition came out. I have a lovely wife who knows nothing about the RPG Superstar contest or that I even entered it but supports my gaming habits none the less.
My personal gaming philosophy is that roleplaying is a creative outlet that lets individuals immerse themselves in a storyline created by the GM and developed by the individuals playing the game. I also believe that roleplaying ISN'T the devil trying to bring your soul to the dark side. (Dubuque tends to be highly catholic.)
When I game, I tend to usually play mages or rogues (and no I didn't kick the badger and you can't prove that I did). I also believe a well balanced party is none existent and as such if you find yourself in one enjoy it while you can. My fellow gamers and I like to think outside the box, this sometimes, inadvertently or on purpose, can cause the GM trouble, which we take perverse pleasure in. I also believe that good will always triumph over evil because evil is dumb.
