After watching this hangout video, I am firmly convinced that everyone involved with this project is b#!$++% insane.
Needless to say, I endorse this lifestyle choice, and I'm inordinately glad that my money is contributing to its perpetuation.
Glad you finally caught up with reality. :)

Fun session, I do want more and I want this project to fund, it's at 90% according to kicktraq now and by the Thursday I'd love to see it either closer to fully funded or actually fully funded. So they can get around to doing the stretch goals mind you. But still, this is going to be a thing of great piratical beauty.

okay there was a shipping/pre-order question and I can't find it on the board now. I got the message from Bill. If you have a pre-order and you add say a player's guide to it, then no it would not increase your shipping cost as long as it fits in the box. You need to notify us on the survey that you are a pre-order so we can make sure to combine any orders. If you have more questions about a specific case email kickstarter@talesofthefroggod.com

Thank you Blonde Frog, that was my question (and someone else's). I have a better one now though.
I have a little more cash so can pledge more. I have a preorder and can now go in at 110. This gets bumped to 150 which is nice.
My preorder included postage and I am outside the US. Kickstarter won't let me pledge 110 unless I click a button saying I am IN the US. Shall I just click it and sort the rest out later with an email?
(or in an emergency, the extra postage afterwards via PayPal. I literally don't have 130.)
thanks!

The Cause? That's either...encouraging or disturbing. Or both. I like both. Here here for disturbing causes that cause disturbance!
I wish there were some specific benefit to be gained by bringing in another backer, beyond what's already been articulated. While I hate to disappoint, update #6 was aimed at "If every backer convinces 1 more backer, we'll double our backer numbers, fund beyond funding and get WELL into stretch goal land."
I can't imagine more was meant than that. Suffice it to say, stretch goals were planned far beyond what any reasonable human could hope to hit in the hopes of delivering unreasonable value. So there are more goals beyond what the Frogs already revealed.
As it is we've attracted tremendous community and industry support and found ways to bring more value to the core product.
No prob here, Lou. It's just that this friend of mine (StereoFM on the Paizo board) did a lot to further the cause of Razor Coast (from its very beginning) and I was hoping to help him get something back. Thus the misunderstanding is all mine.
In the end, I am helping by trying to make his dream of seeing Razor Coast available come true. I just pledged for a lot of nice things. And I have to pass the message around our local group of players and friends once more. Because I believe that this dream of StereoFM has become mine too.
And the Freeport bit should please him too since he has also been a great fan of Freeport from the start.
I must add that the support shown here by all these great names of the industry coming together to make Razor Coast a big something to be remembered is indeed remarkable and uplifting. Here's hoping for the best.

John -- who also helped convert Freeport to Pathfinder -- I think you and I are already on the list... :)
Well, I haven't noticed any froggie assassins hanging out in front of my house. So either I didn't make the list, or Rachel is focusing on getting you first, Lou. :)
Wait! What was that noise?

Apologies if this comes off negative. Not my intention since I am a backer and want this to fund. It's a suggestion for a backer group that isn't being fully appealed to (so I think, anyways...).
I saw that yesterday's sweeteners involved adding pdf copies to book purchasers (I'm paraphrasing).
I'll toss out again that there's a big gap of nothing between $50 and $110 for those of us who are just .pdfers. And increasing to $110 to get a book I don't want isn't exactly an incentive (I know a couple .pdfs have been added to $110 since inception, but it's still the same concept).
Some type of .pdf incentive to the $50 backer, (likely involving .pdfs already being included at what I'll call 'book buyer levels') might raise some more money.
I LOVE books: I've got well over a thousand of them in my house. I just don't really need any more of them. Nor does my marriage...
I was initially interested in the supplemental adventures and almost didn't back this project because I couldn't get them without buying at book levels. But I'm a Frog God guy so I went for the two .pdfs.

I'm in the same boat as H&W. I can't get anything shipped to my current location (at least, not without some MAJOR questions being asked that I'd really rather avoid), so I limit my purchases and rewards and whatnot to digital media only. I'm currently in for the $50, but if a reward in PDF format were to appear in the range slightly above I might be tempted to up the ante.

Excellent Sandbox Pirate Adventuring!
I just jumped in, and pledged up to get the Bethany mini and one of the ships.
Since I've seen a few folks comment on things that would help move their contribution amount upward.
Going up for me just gets more wooden ships. I'd definitely contribute more for maps (the 4 panel paper ones that can be unfolded and show folks what Sasserine looks like, or possibly be used for a complex encounter as a battlemap, or to show what the various decks of a ship look like ala Sea Wyvern).
I'd also go up for a plug-in adventure around level 3 (50 pages at 1,6 and 7 are mentioned). More Pett and Vaughn content! And maybe some more bullywugs from Logue!
Good luck, hope it funds!

Honestly, I think putting the HeroLab and D20Pro files at the far end of the stretch goals was not the best use of them. I think their drawing power among on-line gamers is underestimated.
As an early stretch goal, they would feel more "within reach" of the whole thing. As an add-on, or as part of a high-level pledge, they might be more likely to entice people "on-the-fence".

We can get there! Set course for 85k, me hearties! Full speed ahead!
Let's get to $75K first, Nick, I pre-ordered this back in 3rd Ed. Now granted I have every confidence we'll get to the basic $75K and will probably edge towards the $80K if not a little beyond but this is one area I tend to be a little more conservative. Especially since it took us this long to get this far.

If RC does make some of the stretch goals, then I'll have to make some tough decisions. I've been thinking of upping to the $200 pledge so I get the 5 player's guides since I have 5 players currently. However, I'd love a softcover version of Heart of the Razor but then that would mean my players are less likely to get their own guide (and I didn't get them anything for Christmas this year, so the PG would make up for it). Or I could totally splurge and do the $250 level, add on 6 player's guides, 2 extra books and some character sheets. Decisions...

I found my last question on this and emailed and got this from Bill Webb:
"If you pledge at the $110 level and are a pre-order we will honor the past shipping you paid so you can select the US pledge on the KS so it ddoesn't charge you the international shipping. The box we are referring to is the International flat rate box from the USPS. Equally if you are adding just a player's guide to your order and want to combine it with the pre-order, you would not pay any additional shipping. Please mark this on the survey though so we know to put the two books together, etc. As for the comment about the appropriate shipping it is all very confusing on our side too - lol the higher KS amounts do have increased shipping as they require more than one box. I hope that makes better sense..."
I think that sorts it all out :)

An 'interview' with the unfamous pirate, Porfiry Meng, captain of the Esperus, and his Master at Arms, 'Toady ' Knavecrusher as they examine the current standings of the Razor Coast Kickstarter Project as of 1/16/2013 9:46pm Eastern Time.
PM- 'Well, I have to er... make a, slight confession. I made a mistake.'
TK- 'Not the first time either cap'n.'
PM- 'Put a cork in it Toady!... Where was I? Ah yes, well as some of ya may know, on the Kickstarter Comments I referred to the Krakenfiend as an 'Angry Stepchild.' This was...er.. in error. Apparently, the Krakenfiend is The Only Child of All Unholy Dalliances, er... when it comes to squids mating with... Well, ya get my meaning. Let it be said that Porfiry is one of the few seadogs who admits when he's wrong.'
TK- 'Which is a lot.'
PM-'BELAY THAT TOADY, else I'll make ya scrub down Matilda.'
(Toady takes out one of his throwing knives and starts chewing on the hilt)
PM- 'By all the kind sea nymphs I hope that ain't one ye sharpened.'
(Toady looks at Porfiry with an air of innocence, which is quite hard to pull off, considering Toady is a 6'7” half orc)
PM- 'Alright Toady, get the cabin boy to give us a scroll of the current Razor Coast Tallies.'
(Toady gets up from the table and proceeds to stomp off. Porfiry pulls out a harmonica and begins to play, well something... Twenty minutes later, Porfiry is snoring in his chair. Toady arrives, grasping in his right hand what appears to be the cabin boy. )
TK- 'Caps, wake up!'
PM- (Snorts) 'Wha!? (Observes Toady carrying the limp form of the cabin boy by the lapels of his shirt.) By all the Nautical Nasties of the Unfathomable Trench! What did he do this time!?'
TK- 'Caught him dressing up the rats as dragoons again.'
PM- 'I thought you confiscated all of those tiny uniforms he got from gods know where!? Never mind, did ya find the scroll?'
TK- 'Aye Cap'n!' (Toady pulls out a scroll from the back of the cabin boy's pants, hands it to Porfiry)
PM-'Fer Pele's sake would you put him down! Gently!'
(Toady lowers the cabin boy to the floor, leaves him there, and sits next to Porfiry at the table.)
PM- 'By all the gods Toady, ya gotta learn to temper those slaps. If the lad doesn't wake up, you're gonna have to swab!'
(Porfiry unravels the scroll and reads it, frowning.)
PM- '71, 343 doubloons! By the fires of Dreadsmoke we may get this tub in the water yet! 3,657 more ta go! Ya know, your ma could make twice as much in one night!'
TK- 'I thought you said we were gonna leave me mum outta this!'
PM-' I can't help it! Your ma was the best... midnight baker in all of Carcass.'
(Toady growls out a warning)
PM- (Licking his lips) 'All o that succulent flour, made your lips water. Those exotic spices, she...er.. her cookies just melted in your mouth!'
(Toady roars and throws the table at Porfiry, the captain manages to duck, but a table leg glances his forehead and the captain falls like a sack of freshly caught fish on a trawler deck)
PM- (Groans) 'Greengrunt, tell that Greg Vaughan fellow that the Esperus is in need of a ships surgeon!'
End of interview.
