AUVUUM HESHRAAM KLIOPEDES NECROMOS NIX VELATUUM
By the might of Fueha-Re, her hands red with the dust of our homeland, her beating heart stolen by hated Castrovel, I raise this thread from grit and ash to walk the sands and rocks once more...
/necrothread
Don't get too excited too soon, everyone, but I'm currently working on some stuff for Fu Le as a brain break from another project. Should have something to show for it in a few hours.
I've gotten a lot of requests for a return to the red dunes of Akiton, all within the last couple weeks, and that's just too serendipitous to ignore.
It feels good to be back, everyone. The thin air, the tan skies, the fungal blooms, the breath of gritty wind on my face, the feel of dry soil underfoot... it's almost like home. :P

Seems appropriate to bump this thread, what with certain announcements at PaizoCon. :D
Dunno how much extra material I might produce, since the Starfinder stuff is gonna be in closed Beta (I hold no delusions that I'll be getting in on that), and the campaign material itself is also in its own form of Beta. And of course because every time I come back to work more on the thread, something seems to keep me from doing more than a post or two.
Still got plenty of ideas, mind you, and with what's been announced regarding Starfinder, I have campaign concepts not only for Akiton, but pretty much any other planet, moon, and asteroid in the solar system. I just don't want to bump into canon that hasn't even been written yet, to say nothing of the rules side of things.
I dunno. Maybe I'll toss some ideas out all the same, just for fun.
Anyway, for the time being, we'll see how the submission stuff works for the Starfinder Beta. Maybe there will be some place for this stuff after all.
I'd also like to thank you all for enjoying the material I have produced in this thread, and hope you get a kick out of it whether as simple reading entertainment, in a current or future Pathfinder game, or possibly adapted to a Starfinder game. Always love to hear how folks are putting my work to use. Makes me happy, it does.
So thanks, guys! If I were producing this stuff in a vacuum, I'll guarantee you none of it would have gotten written in the first place. :)

I'll actually do some work on this thread in a vague undefined future time, but I recently experienced an issue where we hit the max Base Price cap from the cities that have gotten official post-GMG write-ups, and I thought I'd look at the available rules from the GMG regarding Base Purchase modifiers. My findings are thus:
Metropolis Base Value: 16,000 gp
Settlement Qualities:
Magically Attuned: +20%
Notorious: +30%
Prosperous: +30%
Strategic Location: +10%
Tourist Attraction: +20%
Total Modifier: +110%
Max Base Value Based Off GMG Rules: 33,600 gp
So without someone inventing a new settlement quality to up that total, no one on Golarion can reliably buy a magic item over 33,600 gp.
Then I checked my Hivemarket settlement stat block. I accidentally picked all those qualities.
So if you need a highwayman's cape (32,500 gp), staff of souls (32,800 gp), rod of thunder and lightning (33,000 gp), a suit of +5 expeditious glamered full plate (33,350 gp), ring of return (33,600 gp), come to Hivemarket! We're 75% likely to have what you're in the market for. :P

Hey, inquiry: I saw the Starfinder Akiton illo in the latest Paizo Blog, and I was thinking on taking e-pen to e-paper again. I mean, now Akiton is, like, Barsoom meets Blade Runner, and I can do a lot with that.
But I don't really want to write stuff no one is interested in seeing. So, I ask of y'all: is anyone interested in seeing that do down? If not, no worries, I can move on to another thing. If folks are, I might set something up where folks can prod me in a reliable way to ensure I'm still producing. I have a tendency to get lost in other things and I'd like folks to be able to get what they're looking for.
Anyhoo. Lemme know.
