Ganesh or Ganesha the Hindu God is not a Destroyer. Shiva is the Destroyer. Ganesh is the Remover of Obstacles and one of the most beloved deities in that religion. Sorry but you seem confused. Or maybe I am mistaken.

in fact i believe ganesh is the son of shiva if i am not mistaken.
edit: yup believed to be him and parvati's child alright, it's technically Ganesha not ganesh. i do love my mythology books, but i think its a little weird this one had a hindu section.
he is also associated with wisdom and has been known to place obstacles as well as remove them.
Ganesh is Also the name of a DnD God as well. I believe he is from later 2e and early 3.x.
