Different Charisma.
Those tactics are skill oriented in a Pathfinder POV.
1) Bluff
2) Diplomacy
3) Diplomacy
4) Diplomacy
5) Bluff
6) Diplomacy
7) Diplomacy
8) Diplomacy (or perform, oratory)
9) Common sense (which, admittedly isn't common)
10) Diplomacy. (I use this a lot in self effacing humour. "Of course I make mistakes. If I hadn't I'd not be divorced.")
A Charismatic person can make a snide remark naturally that you'll catch later. A skilled person is the one who can tell you to go to Hell in a way that you look forward to the trip.
(Take it from someone who has (I like to believe) slightly above average charisma, but has had to work to develop a lot of the skills above.)

True, but we'll be arguing when he offers unsolicited advice regardless. I'm not really out anything and I have a very very small chance that he'll realize what he's doing.
Perhaps I'll wait until he offers unsolicited advice then just hand him a printed version of the article with the relevant lines highlighted. Because that's not passive aggressive at all. ;-)
