Ranger feats

Advice

Hey all, my ranger just reached level 5 and I'm debating which feat to take.

Here is my character sheet: http://www.thetangledweb.net/forums/profiler/view_char.php?cid=58454

I'm torn-
Rapid shot,
Diehard,
Learn Ranger Trap,
Something else...

P.S.- I'm looking to take horizon walker at 7.
Thanks in advance!

Power attack
Iron will

Since you are building an archer character I would suggest Rapid Shot. Iron Will if you want mental defenses.

I noticed a couple of other things:
Why don't you have a Composite Long Bow +2strength?
Why do you not have a buckler?
I would lose the Armored Kilt. While you wear it you are unable to use your Ranger Combat Style feats. (Medium armor +Armored Kilt = Heavy Armor. Heavy armor prevents you from using your Combat Style feats.)

Precise Shot jumps out. But I assume you're building a switch hitter so potentially not necessary.

Iron Will at some point but probably not now.

Rapid shot looks good.

I would focus on Archery and not take too many melee feats.

Thanks all,

I don't have composite longbow because the campaign is specifically minimal money/magic. Never thought about taking a buckler, If the DM allows I'll switch it up.

Drawesome1111: A Composite Longbow is not magic. It is a mundane normal bow. Price for you is only 500gp (100gp+300gp masterwork +200gp for your strength bonus).

A buckler will not count towards your AC while you are shooting but it counts while flat footed, total defense, when you are using a 1handed weapon, or anytime you arent shooting.
