Alchemist Thrown Bombs use what ability score?

Rules Questions

I was making sure that I understand everything. I am thinking that an alchemist needs some Str to help hit with bombs as they are thrown weapons and Dex is not needed (for attacking) except for feat qualifications. I know Dex has other uses but seems like it is tough to fit everything in so trying to make sure.

Thrown weapons use dex for attack rolls.

Thank you as I know I am overlooking it and played 4th edition too long and still having issues with some of the rules. Appreciate the help.

As I understand it, thrown weapons use DEX to hit. Light Thrwon weapons (dagger, dart, shuriken) add DEX mod to damage, Heavy Thrown (throwing axe, javelin, sling) add STR mod to damage.

Alchemist bombs add INT mod to damage, I believe.

Yes you use Dex to hit and Int for Damage.

There are only two ways that I know of to add dex to damage.

1) Dervish Dancer can add dex to damage with a scimitar
2) Agile weapon enchantment can add dex to damage when weapon finessing.

That's it. You don't ever add it to thrown weapons or anything else. Thrown weapons usually get STR added, whether they're light or heavy (and to my knowledge there aren't light or heavy thrown categories)
