A serving of mussel, potato, and fennel stew that was left over from last night's dinner.
Plus some baby-cut carrots and a handful of cherry tomatoes. And a banana.
And a cup of jasmine tea.

Asian noodle salad (Soba noodles with baby bok choy, cucumbers, green onions and spicy citrus/peanut dressing), a nectarine, a plum, and a banana.
(Technically, the banana was supposed to be breakfast, but I didn't have time to eat breakfast this morning, so it got included in lunch instead.)
Multiple sandwiches with "bandit's" sausage and a smaller number of sandwiches with jam.
What's a bandit sausage?
It's not made out of bandits, I hope?
Oh, and I had a kaiser escalope for lunch.

Speak for yourself...

As long as it is no one who I'd know...
Klaus van der Kroft wrote: Oh, and I had a kaiser escalope for lunch. I had to Google that. Sounds delicious.
Kung Pao Shrimp w/ brown rice and red peppers.
I managed to not burn it.
I'm not sure. I don't have anything at the office today so I'll have to duck out at lunch.

Celestial Healer wrote: Klaus van der Kroft wrote: I just noticed I have never actually tried peanut butter mixed with jelly.
Is it actual jelly what you guys use, or more like marmalade?
One of the popular choices is grape jelly, which is a true jelly, not a jam or marmalade. But peach jam, strawberry jam, or raspberry preserves are all fine choices.
Mixing the peanut butter and jelly sounds messy. The easiest way to make the sandwich is to take two pieces of bread, spread peanut butter on one of them, jam or jelly on the other, and then put them together, face-to-face. (There are people who will argue about the best technique - I just present that one because it is the most simple.) I finally tried it yesterday. Got peanut butter with peanut chunks and blackberry jam, and it was delicious. Brought a couple of sandwiches with me to the office, in fact.
Damn you for adding even more calories to my diet. I make olive oil! I'm supposed to be healthy and stuff!

We will switch diets. You can eat fatty US cuisine, and I will follow my doctor's advice and eat more olive oil...

Speaking of fatty, I have left over Louisiana Chicken Pasta from the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Their nutrition facts say it has 2400 calories, but if I split it into two meals, that's okay, right?
Right?

Sandwiches with cheese (yay, cheap cheese!) and jam. No, not on the same sandwich, I am not my mom who eats her cheese with jam.

Think of calories as energy filling up your action bar. As D&D players, we all know how important it is to always have actions in reserve.
Leftover rigatoni with meatballs from the crock-pot.
In fact, it may be the same lunch all through Labor Day weekend.
Joe's Crab Shack - a pot of spicy Queen's Crab Legs shared with everyone's favorite pony lawyer.
Wait until he sticks you with the check. As a pony lawyer would.

Sushi. Except that because I am in a provincial town in China, it was just a whole bunch of weird ingredients rolled up in rice and seaweed.
The one I got was the "Korean Roll". It had fish powder and kimchi in it.
Hopefully empanadas. Probably not, though.
Fritatta with bacon, eggs, green olives, fetta and cheddar cheese.
Re-heated vegetarian cottage pie.

Ordered in from a new Dominican place. Grilled chicken, rice and beans, fried plantains, and a side salad.
It's good stuff.
Mongolian again. =) Steak, crab, shrimp, pepperoni, mushrooms, broccoli, and noodles. Extra helping of garlic powder and a dash of peppers.
Chinese buffet for a colleague's going away party. It was... acceptable.
(Really, in the land of suburban blandness where my office is located, even 'acceptable' Chinese food is a find.)
A salad. Mixed greens, feta and cheddar cheese, green olives, bacon bits, and some dressing with the Olive Garden name on it.

Sandwich with vanilla-flavored quark.
Leftover chicken Florentine from last night, a banana, an apple, two plums, and a pot of jasmine tea.
Gratin from potatoes, asparagus, greenham and parmesan cheese, with slices of meatloaf 'tuned' with cheese and mushrooms.
The same vanilla-flavored quark with noodles will constitute my dinner. Damn, I eat it too fast.
Kellogg's Special K cereal with strawberries.
Two of these.
Bonus point to the first guy who notices why we call those hot-dogs "Italians".

Broiled tilapia sandwich on a kaiser roll with coleslaw and tomatoes. (One filet and some coleslaw was left over from last night's dinner, so, hey! Fish sandwich for lunch!)
[BTW: I wasn't familiar with "quark," and just looked it up. It sounds pretty good-- like a cross between cream cheese and yogurt!]
It is more like a ricotta cheese that tastes a little less "cheesy".
Home made chicken paella for lunch.

Depends upon particular quark. Cream cheese and yoghurt are close for many kinds of them.
Left over 5 cheese pizza.
That "Italian" dog up there looked awesome, btw.

As for today, chicken with mashed potatoes.

Paila Marina.
I know it looks like Poseidon's dumpster, but few things beat a properly made Paila Marina.
Are you kidding? That looks awesome. At least provided the shellfish isn't cold. I know some people like it that way but I have never cared for it.
