Brilliant!
I'm not that clever. Just picked it up spending too much time in kitten and puppy threads on Imgur.

Lunch was "Southern" chicken tenders (from frozen), chili-cheese Fritos, and 80z pulpy orange juice.

I am picturing some sort of Alice in Wonderland 'giant teacup' sort of wine glass.

Ten years ago, I'd've said YES! to that glass.
If I did that now, I'd feel absolutely terrible afterward for at least a whole day.

Why does Drejk only eat lunch every once in a while, and why is it always pork? The mind boggles...
The plan for today's lunch is leftover tuna salad from last night's dinner. Slap it on some artisan bread, a slice of the sharpest cheddar I can stand and a big ol' slab of misshapen tomato (I can't ever seem to cut a proper slice by hand).

As a dragon I take a lot of time to digest consumed things.
And pork is cheaper. Also, I found beef to be rather overrated.
Coincidentally later today I will be making something out of piece of pork (shoulder I think) that I have in the fridge. Either fry it or put in an oven with peach and pineapple pieces.

The other night for dinner I glazed a pork tenderloin in a mix of applesauce, Dijon mustard and honey. It was... not as I'd hoped flavor-wise. If you've got suggestions I'm all ears.
I marinate a trimmed pork tenderloin for at least 4 hours in some olive oil, a couple Tbs of vinegar or lemon juice, a dash of garlic powder, some black pepper, and lots of dried oregano. Then I grill it. You don’t need much else, and it is delicious.
Not for lunch, though. Today’s lunch was leftover pizza.

Today for lunch it was store bought pita and hummus, chopped green and red peppers and a faux Greek salad; essentially I take a bagged salad, one of those "Greek olive" mixes from the deli section of the grocery (the ones with oil, feta cheese and some herbs already in there) and mix them together with some tomato.

You had me at "...abundance of self-hatred..."
Today for lunch I had 2 pieces of the fried chicken tenders leftover from my birthday party. My eldest daughter was very kind and organized a party for me and her friend who just happens to have a birthday the same day as mine. We had a total of 9 people to the house, 8 of whom were eating.
My daughter got two ENORMOUS troughs of fried chicken fingers from my favorite place. I don't really understand WHY she bought food for 50, but now I have chicken for months.
I have a gallon sized bag of them now frozen. I have half a tin of them crowding the back of the fridge. For the past couple days my daughters have been snacking on them. I'd still estimate I've got dinner for 6-8 depending on how hungry people are, ready to go at a moment's notice.
Also her friend is way into sweets so for her my daughter got a gigantic bag of assorted candy and chocolate as well as a large DQ ice cream cake. The cake never made it out of the freezer the day of the party; the candy is cluttering the breadbox.
All the while the a-hole in my head is reminding me how I'm supposed to be cutting BACK on calories and managing my sodium...
