Jalapeño brisket sandwich (smoked brisket, cheddar cheese, fresh diced jalapeños, chipotle BBQ sauce, and fried onions) and a small jamocha shake. Very delicious indeed.
Ach, that sounds nice.
I ate paneer and spinach and coriander, but fried the spices for too long, which didn't taste great but did do a wonderful job of clearing my sinuses.

A Old-Fashioned Italian from Sarcone's. #BetterThanAnythingInNYC
Freehold DM wrote: KATZ DELI LEFTOVERS BRISKET ON RYE WITH BROWN MUSTARD #NYCRULES Now that I'm back in H-Town, I've been dying to make a pilgrimage to the Katz's Deli here, opened by the grandson of the NY Katzes.
As for you South Philly fans, there's no such thing as a decent Italian hoagie here in Houston. In fact, Italian and Italian-American food are just about the only cuisines they DON'T do well here.
Six smoked chicken Vienna sausages, with some bread and cheese sandwiches.

Even with the right salumi, cheese, salad, etc the bread won't be right without the local water.
Why no one does good Italian in general, that one's weirder.

captain yesterday wrote: As a stay at home dad my diet is mostly what I feed my 4 year old son. I'm so proud of my 1-year-old. Recently she is refusing to eat pureed glop and instead insists on solid "people food." Oktoberfest leftovers seem to be a big hit: wurst, Rotkraut, and potato salad.
Lunch: Sliced apple, a handful of unsalted (my mistake) mini pretzels, and a 1/4 cup-ish of peanut butter to dip in. Iced lemon water to drink (out of tea to brew)
Dinner: Baked chicken and a couple canned veggies
Lunch: Everything bagel, toasted, with onion & chives cream cheese.
Dinner: Baked porkchop, buttered potatoes, and a mountain of cole slaw. (I love cole slaw. Yes, I know this is weird, especially for someone who hates sauerkraut.)
Greek-style yogurt with some shredded cheese and diced ham mixed in, with a few buns and Pepsi.

Baked beans over rice.
It's been a lean few weeks.
Griiled eggplant, roasted red peppers, mozzarela cheese and a couple of basil leaves. All wrapped up on a ciabatta roll with garlic mayo
Lunch: Cheapo Tex-Mex fast "food": 2 mini beef quesadillas and a beef gordita supreme
Dinner: Leftover homemade lasagna "Amby style" (made with mucho mucho garlic)

Applebee's lunch special. Chicken Caesar salad and shrimp scampi linguine.
A Lenny's Italian sub. Nowhere near as good as the Italian hoagies I used to get in Pittsburgh, but better than most of the other (deplorable) sub options nearby.
Some smoked mackerel (I think it was mackerel) flavored with Provence herbs and a baguette.

Q: What's the best way to get rid of the remnants of a cold?
A: A truly sinus-reaming chicken curry!
So that's what I ate. It was very nice.

{looks around to make sure Rysky isn't in earshot} You could eat your way through a bag of peppermints. That's usually good for opening up your sinuses.
Lunch: Slice of leftover bacon, piece of wheat bread, couple slices of cheddar. Skipped coffee this morning as this blend seems heartburn-y.
Dinner: Will be (Mom's) leftover chicken alfredo and pasta
A few sausages, some bun, tomato, and some bananas.

Super disgusting leftover bachelor chow, namely:
1) Dodgy kabanos
2) Sliced "roast chicken"
3) Elderly goat's cheese
4) On its way out naan bread.
Grilled and drizzled with sensuous, tantalising spicy Polish ketchup. Still, I'm not dead yet, so it must have been alright after all.

Was that Pudliszki, Roleski, or Kotlin ketchup?
