Had you never had a can of soup before?

I have, and the other cans of soup I've had are what set the standard against which I measured this can's disappointment. :(

Hamburger. Homemade rather than restaurant-bought.

Surprisingly good, though. Doctor wants me to cut down on sodium intake so got my hands on lean beef and some other low-sodium ingredients. Turned out better than expected, honestly.

Obligatory.

Goat gouda slices, Brazil nuts, and dried apricots.

Low-effort and tasty.

That sounds delicious.

Oh, it is. Er... was.

Today's lunch: A couple chicken tamales from the parents' neighbors. Real, honest, homemade tamales made by an excellent Latina cook. So delicious I literally licked the plate. Thankfully there were only two, or I'd have gorged myself on them.

Liberty's Edge

Tonkotsu ramen (with extra noodles), karaage chicken with curry rice, cold green tea, and mango and red bean mochi icecream.

Blue cornbread, a bit of honey, freeze-dried strawberries and a nice Rooibos.

...

For a guy who doesn't even pretend at vegetarianism or healthy eating, I seem to be 2 for 2 here...

Of course, one only talks about the good meals...

Stir fry tofu and vegetables on jasmine rice with a sweet teriyaki sauce.

Leftover pizza.

~1/2 cup fried rice and a (swiss-)cheeseburger with garlic sriracha mayo

A sandwich of pork liver pâté on French bread, braised kale with bacon and onions, an apple, two tangerines, and a can of lemon seltzer.

Fried Catfish topped with shrimp etoufee on top of garlic mash potatoes with a side Cesar salad.

A glazed doughnut.

Skipped breakfast and then passed a Popeye's twice on today's drive. So lunch turned into:

  • cheapo salisbury steak & mashed potatoes entree
  • four slices of cheddar cheese
  • a thick slice of fresh-baked bread (buttered)
  • a big scoop of cottage cheese
  • and 5 green olives.
I am now uncomfortably full and yet still hunger for Popeye's chicken.

A slice of pork fried with scallions and an apple. Potatoes.

For breakfast: omelette

For lunch: Yesterday's Chopped Things, eaten cold in a wrap, plus an apple.

For tea: Hot pie & peas, followed by yoghurt.

Skipped breakfast except for coffee. Lunch was salami & swiss on baked bread and blob of cottage cheese.

Hamburger with lots of fries at a pub where a friend had her birthday.

A grilled cheese sandwich.

A cherry turnover

The last two slices of pork, fried with apples... Yum-yum. Tomorrow I will have to go buy something to eat, though...

Bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce

Liberty's Edge

Peanutbutter and jelly (jam for the British) on whole wheat toast, with some sourdough pretzel pieces, carrots, an apple, and a quart of cold brew tea and lemonade.

A quart?! Wow, you were parched.

Brussels sprouts.

I like brussels sprouts, especially roasted with garlic and olive oil, then sprinkled with a little parm and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

32 Oz of flavored (but not sweetened) water is not that much.

I'm not sure I can drink that much in a single meal. And even if I could, I'm not gonna want to stray too far from a bathroom once my kidneys are done with it.

Meatloaf sandwich (last night's meatloaf, sliced, with melted Parm, garlic mayo, and romaine lettuce) and scoop of cottage cheese

Peanut butter and nutella, with milk and tangerines on the side.

Nothing. Nothing is for lunch.

Penne with meatballs and arrabbiata sauce (leftovers from last night), spinach salad with balsamic viniagrette (same), a tangerine, and coffee.

Pan-fried mahi mahi filet on a bed of sauteed spinach and kale with garlic, all with a lime-cheese concoction broiled atop.

I splurged on yesterday's lunch: Popeye's spice-packed wings (6-piece) and a side of red beans & rice. A little messy, but so very very very good.

It's already 2PM and haven't ate lunch today. May just skip it.

Cheese steak, french fries, vat of tooth-rotting, blood-sugar destroying soda.

HUZZAH!

No fried okra? :(

Leftover teriyaki chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, and fried rice.

I could only afford one side. :(

2 poached eggs, piece of buttered toast, a microwaved brown n' serve sausage link, and large glass of orange juice

Sadness. :'(

Carne guisada, rice, beans, and pickled carrots.

Silver Crusade

The last of my homemade french onion soup

Chili Con Carne Pizza.

McDonald's, most likely. Popeye's sounds good, but I'd have to cross half the city and pay $4.50 because I don't have my transit pass yet.

Coffee!!!

I already have coffee.
