The restaurant/room service prices are high. There is a QFC grocery store down the road a bit (just short of a mile one way). Take a left out the front door, then take a left at Hobby Lobby (which has a ton of model paints). Keep going until you get to Cleveland/Redmond intersection. The QFC (and Trader Joes) is at the far right corner.
There is a game store with a huge selection of dice, Uncles's Games, I think. Go straight down the road out the front door, and take a right in the middle of the center. it's on the left after the smoothie place.
Restaurants I saw were Indian, Thai, Mexican, Grill, Seafood.
There is a Tully's coffee shop across the street - haven't checked it out, though.
You can't get a roll-away bed with a double room (no space/fire hazard), but you can with a king size room. They look nice and don't cost extra.
We asked for a fridge, and got a room with one at no extra cost. Don't know if it is too late for that for others.
If you need supplies for costumes, there is a Ben Franklin craft store in the same strip mall as the QFC.
There is a Zeek's Pizza that delivers - starts at $11.50 for a small cheese and goes up to $23 for a large special.

If you come in super late, the best thing to eat is from the fridge in the small retail store next to the front desk. They always have fruit cups, chips, and parfaits. Last night they had two good chicken sandwiches for $7 each, and a small cesar for $4.
Room service closes at 11pm, but it is crazy expensive ($5 for a soda, $17 for a salad, etc)

I did not get the fridge they said I would have. On Tuesday they would store food in the hotel fridge for you. Don't know about currently. The hotel was also out of working microwaves on Wednesday morning, but expects to get some more in during the con. I will reserve any final review until I check out Monday.

On a nice day like today, you're best bet is walking over to Malt & Vine, about three blocks from the hotel. They sell every kind of beer imaginable and have outdoor seating. The gyro place next door is awesome, and delivers to M&V's patio.
Also the korean place next door, "Stone" has amazing fried chicken and the terriyaki place on the otherside has pretty good terriyaki/katsu. But Gyros and beer is what I'd be doing if I had the day off. ;) The gyros place does not skimp on meat though they do skimp a bit on sauce, so get some extra. And then your choice of 10- 15 taps including two nitro taps and sometimes a cask ale at the Malt and Vine, not to mention fridge after fridge after fridge of bottled beers, ciders, wines, meads, ports, and ginger ales.

There is free wifi in the hotel lobby.
The Indian place, Mehfil has a good lunch buffet for $10.
Good to know their lunch buffet is decent. We generally tend to go a few blocks further afield to Kanishka. Tasty goat curry and tandoori chicken. =D
I can vouch for Thai Ginger being kind of surprisingly good and not as expensive as I'd expect during lunch for something actually in the redmond town center. A tiny bit further afield, across the tracks is Iyara that we like quite a bit as well.
Matt's is ok in my opinion but pricier than I think it's worth, except for the oysters which you will have trouble finding a better deal on outside of downtown bellevue or downtown seattle. Kushi is my favorite oyster out here. They are small and sweet.
The Redmond Subs is good if you want a Banh Mi but pretty mediocre for their italian. Still, I'd personally rather give them my money rather than give it to subway.
I've heard great things about the italian restaurant across the way from Matt's but I've not eaten there personally.
I remember the Golden Chopsticks was spendy and we didn't go in. Zeek's and Flying Saucer Pizza should both deliver and both are really tasty. I especially like Flying Saucer's Ming the Merciless and Dr. Zaius. Scifi pizza. Only in Seattle. =P
Out of the Redmond town center aways, but still within walking distance, I can recommend a ton of other places chief among them are, The Three Lions(Wings of Fire + Snake Bite and Black), Malt & Vine/Gyros 2 Go(Gyros, fries, and whatever porter is on tap), and Spicy Talk(Sweet and Sour Soup, Green Onion Pancake, and Szechuan Chicken).
For coffee, I prefer Tully's(which should just be catty cornered to the main Marriott entrance and down a little ways) to Starbucks and they also have free wi-fi.
Coldstone is pretty delicious but not local or anything. If you get out to Seattle at all, be sure to check out Molly Moons. Salted Caramel ice cream is probably one of my favorite things on earth and the vegan coconut chip is also extremely good if they have it that day.
Haiku is great if you get in before 7 and have an hour to devour tons of crab legs. The sushi is kind of mediocre and you'd be better off going to the place next to Three Lions or the one across the street from Iyara or just take a long walk/short drive to marineland for all you can eat slightly less mediocre and larger selection all you can eat sushi.

Lissa is wise, listen to all she says here. Kanishka, Three Lions, M&V, Spicy Talk, Tully's. All Winners.
If you want Italian, go with Tropea. It's in a strip mall near Three Lions. Best Italian in Redmond. http://www.ristorantetropea.com/

That is good to know. I've seen it all the time but I've never been in. It looks like a nice dive Italian. Usually for italian I go to Angelo's in bellevue which is really divey and has a great 70's lounge but nowhere close to redmond. I'll have to give them a try sometime.
