Define "clarifications". Basically, if you're not actively searching for something, the GM decides when Perception rolls should be made (RAW indicate that there should be a "stimulus" that triggers the check - this could be "holes in the wall for the poisoned darts to fly out of" or "faint outline of the secret door in line of sight", at which point I, as GM, would roll for my players. Of course, just because they notice the holes in the walls doesn't mean I have to tell the players what they're for).
Actively searching is a move action.

Thanks for the answer. Sorry, I didn't ask properly. I wanted to ask if there has been official clarifications by Paizo staff.
Here's Creative Director James Jacobs' view on it:
"The trap spotter talent lets a rogue make a perception check to notice ALL traps he comes wihtin range of. Normally, you have to tell the GM that you're looking for traps."

The ability of elves to get an automatic roll was taken away on purpose. So unless you specificlaly search you will not notice either a trap or a secret door.
The exception to this is Dwarves if the trap or secret door involves stonework.
