Half-Elf question regarding Racial Archetypes

Rules Questions

Greetings, I have a small question, can half-elves take Elf only or Human only archetypes? Since they count as both human and elf for all intents and purposes, same applies to half-orcs as well.

Half-Orcs in ARG, as a racial component are considered humans as well as orcs for all effects.

So Half-Orcs are considered human whenever making game choices, such as traits, feats, etc...

I haven't read the Half-Elf portion, but if it has the same statement than yes, otherwise no. Half-Elves are their own distinct race and will only count as another race if it specifically states that they do.

Hope this helps.

"Elf Blood: Half-elves count as both elves and humans for any effect related to race."

Since the decision on whether you can take a human or elf racial archetype is based on race, I would say yes, half-elves should be able to take human or elf racial archetypes. Neither humans nor elves can take half-elf archetypes.

Thank you cartmanbeck.

This is not a widely accepted answer, people have been asking questions like this (about race specific traits) for a while now. The best answer is "Ask your GM."

I as a GM would allow this, I just wanted to make sure my ruling wasn't too biased, besides that racial feature is usually never used.

This is more or less, being discussed here.
