Does anyone know if there is a web-page somewhere that gives a comprehensive list of all the Traits with a brief description of the Trait's Bonus (exactly the way Feats and Spells are listed in the Core Book)?

For Example:

Reactionary +2 Initiative
Anatomist +1 to confirm Critical Hits
Scholar of the Great Beyond Bonus on Knowledge Skills

This way a person can see basically what each Trait does and then decide to take a closer look at a particular Trait.

Not *quite* what you want, but it should work fairly well for your needs.

Something like this? Not all of them have their description filled in though.

EDIT: OH NO, THE NINJAS ARE COMING!

LOL.

Actually, I had just pulled up d20pfsrd.com/traits and thought, "Damn, I'm not gonna open up ALL those friggen Traits to see what does what -- maybe someone else has already done the hard work for me."

Who has time to look up all those Traits individually?!?

Traits are usually what take me the longest to pick when creating a character. I looove looking over all of them and using them to flesh out my character's history.

So to answer your question, me!

I actually use Hero Lab for this. I click the trait selection dialog and then search for whatever I'm looking for, like "Diplomacy," "Initiative," or "Will".

If you're looking for something more flavorful you can keyword search that, too.

fun place called The Archives of Nethys has them up in an easier to navigate format. May or may not be accurate so the ones you find to be cool you ought to look up on the PF site to double check.

I just pick traits that fit in my background. That narrows down the list significantly, so I only need to read a dozen or so.

Does anyone know what this post means?

It means I look at the titles of the traits and read some that match my background, then choose two. Trait bonuses are fairly small and I don't see the point in spending a bunch of time to find two that will perfectly optimize a character. Are you looking for some other meaning?

It means when he has a Chelaxian halfling he looks at the Cheliax book, the halfling book, his faction, and the APG so he doesn't have to fish through hundreds of traits in dozens of sources.

But how do you know what traits fit your character unless you know what the traits are, which you learn by reading through them, which you say you don't need to bother doing because you only skim the traits that fit your character?
