Some of you may have seen my help thread in 'Advice' on my 5th level Sorcerer. I had asked suggestions on my feat selections.
Several had said to cut down on my craft feats, and the Fighter/Ranger had offered taking Master Craftsman and would take over the Craft Magic Arms and Armor, which I originally planned on taking.
My question is, he only has Craft: Armorsmithing. Does that mean he can only make magical armor? Or does he also get the benefit of the "Arms" portion of Craft Magic Arms and Armor, as well? As the feat covers both?

Master Craftsman is a horrible feat. You basically pay a feat for nothing up front, wait 2 more levels, then gain the ability to do something the caster could've done 2 levels ago for only 1 feat.
Don't make your friend do that.
Do you actually need that craft feat? Is your DM that bad about dropping useful items from monsters and/or making them available for purchase?

Actually, I was never 'making' him take that feat, it was something he offered.
Second, our DM is a very good one. It's just the type of campaign we are in, it is very hard to get magic items. We are monsters, and therefore we can't just go to the nearest town to buy items we need, including magical.
And yes, I am sure there will be times he drops magical weapons and armor, but he almost always rolls randomly, so more times than not we get items we would want to sell, than keep.
Therefore, it's just easier to take the feat so we can make what we want, as well as the reduction in price.
However, it is a moot point now (for Master Craftsman) as we've found an alternative.
Thanks for everyones input!
