That character who took a magic item which grants reincarnation, and greater restoration upon rebirth.

Then re-rolled Bugbear for a year to get a 208 point strength bonus, 104 points of dex and con...

Obviously, I am rules mongering... but perhaps someone should look at the "Plusses to the new form" idea. At the least, balance out races which are otherwise balanced in normal character creation.

It doesn't work that way. When you reincarnate you eliminate racial ability modifiers on physical stats before you add the new modifiers. So at most you could get the modifiers from bugbear once.

My point was (as a rules monger) - they don't specifically state that the mods on the table are racial...

..and if they are racial mods they need to be corrected, because a few races now balance out to ZERO instead of PF's gloriously balanced +2 (or perhaps, rather, others are at a +2 compared to starting characters of the same class)
