Cast spells from spellbooks

Rules Questions

As in the subject: is it possible to cast a spell directly from a borrowed spellbook, like it was a scroll? I did not find this in the pathfinder rules, so I believe not... any insight? Thanks!

I'm afraid the "rip out a spell and use it as a scroll" is a thing of the past. Besides you can't use a borrowed spell book until you decipher it anyway, which takes time.

But if you took the time to decypher the spells? I remember it was a possible thing of the past... but I believe it changed with the Pathfinder rules.

To the best of my knowledge you can't use spell books like scrolls even if it's your book. Though Dm may allow it.

Well... I'm the DM. :)
And I did not intend to permit it... but my players are quite pressing sometimes.

Thanks Tiny
