How much like an animal is a Druid in Wild Shape?

Rules Questions

The Title kind of points towards what I'm trying to find out- but i'll explain some more.

Is a Wild Shape'd Druid effected by spells that would effect an animal? Such as Animal Growth, or Anthropomorphic animal? or other buff/debuffs for animals?

If it says their type changes to animal, yes. Otherwise no.

Liberty's Edge

Nope, the creature type of the druid remains the same, as it would for anyone using a polymorph spell. So, although your druid might now be tiny, furry, and has claws and fangs instead of thumbs and speech, he's still a human (or elf, or what-have-you, etc.) with the creature type Humanoid (human).

This can actually be a good way to figure out if someone is polymorphed and hiding from you, to use creature-type specific spells.

Now that I think about it, there's almost no way for a player to change their creature type. Unless they get turned into an undead, reincarnated, or are a 20th level monk, that is.
