Free hugs! Getcher hugs right here!

Will accept 'safety' hugs and positive feelings. Still have cruds. Do not want to share.

The hugs are appreciated, you two. Today was an exhausting day. One of those days where everything I do makes me feel a little dumber. We're applying for a new place, and the landlord was annoyed that our legal names (both 1-2 years old) weren't the 'right' ones for his background checks. I just really want this stupid house.

Things have been decently quiet lately, and I'm feeling grateful as all hell for a simple life with someone I can deeply love. I get to feel safe and comfortable every single time I wake up; folks know what a blessing that is.

Praying for y'all out there to stay safe and find some joy.

I'm still here.

Tonight I played in a Pathfinder Society game. It went incredibly well, except that it was 1E and I wanted to play 2E since I haven't played that yet. Next week I'll be joining a Starfinder Society game. I just need to figure out what I'm going to play.

I had never met these people before, and they all immediately used the correct pronouns and got my gender right without any prompting from me. I know that I live in a good area, but it's also a testament as to how great the owners of the store are. They set the culture and the expectations for their business.

10/10 stars, would recommend! If you are ever in Lynnwood, Washington (just north of Seattle), stop by Around the Table. Tell them Cindy sent you!

Liberty's Edge

That's awesome!

Is anyone here part of Pathfinder or Starfinder Society? I can't figure out how to log my games at all. I have played one game of Starfinder and I assume that I am supposed to be able to log it somewhere.

Sorry, no :(

You could probably ask HMM though, she'd be able to help :3

Hope everyone is doing okay, had Covid last week so that took a lot out of me (on the upside I got homemade chicken noodle soup and didn't have to interact with people at all).

How are you feeling now? Did you drink a lot of Gatorade? That helped me.

Silver Crusade

Still bleugh, but I can walk around a bit more.

And no Gatorade sadly, though I tried to remember to drink a lot.

Were you the GM or a player? If you're a player, you don't need to do anything other than hold on to your chronicle sheet. Make sure you scan or take a photo of it (and put it in your GDrive or whatever) in case something happens to the paper copy.

Ok, cool. I wasn't sure. Thanks!

No problem! It's up to the GM to report the game but your chronicle sheet is all you need, even if they never get around to it.

Random hugs all around. And extras for those who want more.

It's been a long, cloudy winter. And epidemic. And social uncertainty. And I'm so tired of being vigilant.

Sneaky fact: when you offer hugs, people who want them are actually hugging you back. Scooore!!!

I'm glad you're doing better now.

Was getting really worried.

'Mild Symptoms my ASS'

Details:
Due to being an 'essential' worker in a workplace that is anemically understaffed when I got a racking chest cough in the middle of January I *couldn't* just 'take a few days off' or even 'get tested' because A. No tests available and B. If positive, would have been out for far longer, and probably have gotten fired for 'completely unrelated job performance issues that have nothing to do with missing two weeks of work'.

So now I'm largely recovered from whatever it was, but my guts have an adverse reaction every often now, and when I sleep at night if I sneeze or cough it feels like my hips are going to both seize up permanently and explode at the same time.

But I guess 'dying' is a 'Serious symptom' by some metrics. *grumble*

I got lucky, my girlfriend and roommate both got it bad. Roomie, who is double-vaxxed, had to drop by the hospital. Getting lucky means you have to do all the cooking while still being sick yourself, of course.

I worry for anyone in Texas right now. Is there anything I can do to help?

Donate to the ACLU, donate to Beto, donate to the Trevor Project, donate to LGBT!+ organizations in Tx (research them first though, not all charities are worthy of our money).

I'll add Lambda Legal into this list as I know they're also fighting this horse smurf law, and they do good work (and are close to my heart)

Biden has just signed an important piece of labor legislation, the "MeToo" bill (H.R. 4445), that makes it illegal for employers to require arbitration if you are sexually harassed or assaulted on the job.

If you are covered by a union contract, any clauses in that contract that require forced arbitration for sexual harassment/assault cases are no longer legal, starting right now. If you have signed any other kind of employment contract, those clauses are also no longer enforceable. It invalidates every previous agreement

And it is retroactive, meaning that if you were previously bound by such a contract, you can now take your case to the courts.

If you need a pick-me-up right now, dial (707) 998-8410. A group of Bay Area students age 5-12 pre-recorded pep talks. I actually dialed it to make sure that it's legit. It's legit.

Freshly back from a trip to Seattle with my partner to meet a bunch of their awesome queer friends and it was such a joy. I didn’t think things could be this good; I’m so grateful for having found my way to them and this.

Praying for some of that same kindness to reach y’all, too.

The news is really getting to me lately. Texas, Florida, that one British YA author still being on Twitter. Waiting very patiently for the liberal backlash to kick in already.

I know there are a host of legal challenges in Texas, I am sure Florida will follow.

The problem is what we're seeing is the conservative backlash to all the progress that has been made. Two steps forward, one step back...

Idaho is trying to not only make it illegal to provide gender affirming care to children, but the punishment could be up to life in prison. That includes even taking the child out of state to get them gender affirming medical care.

The unknown grooms shown here never got to see their wedding photos. They married in 1957 somewhere in Philadelphia. When they dropped off their wedding photos at a local drugstore to have the film developed, the photo developer confiscated them. The granddaughter of the photo developer donated the photos to the One Archives at USC in the hopes that the largest LGTBQ+ archive in the world can help track down the family of the couples as it appears to be a dual wedding - two cake cutting photos. Share this as far and wide as possible please. @onearchives
