Had to drop my car off yesterday and pick up a rental, then waited around cause they said they might be done by evening if they didn't find anything else.
They found something else -_-
So went and fell asleep, hopefully I'll be able to pick it up today :3

Yay woke up early for a first time in a while.
lucky you, I had a major bout of insomnia last night, fell asleep at last around 3 or 4 AM, and woke at 9 as the place I had an errand to run at was oopening up... I was lucky not to find a mile long line at the front desk. I hope to get better sleep tonight, and with luck, tomorrow, I'll change this cantankerous machine I'm currently typing from for a spanking new computer, won't be cheap, but I hope to keep it at least 5 years, my current machine is 9 1/2 years old and deserves the rest.

Ouch I find I am in a horrible mood if I don't sleep right and this can't be changed. My dad has had health problems and keeps asking for my help in the evening and I am next to useless the next day.

I apologize for my absence of late - this year has really been wrecking me with a neverending string of cold, a few days of the flu and general unhealthyness. I hope things for you all go better.
By the way, I heard the bonfire and campfire elementals around here know to incinder April-fools-pranks at first sight.

John, complete sympathy and empathy from this corner.
Work tried to say that my request (put in under seniority rules) was not valid for a convention I'm GMing at next weekend due to staffing issues.
...and I had to politely guide them to the contract and gently suggest that perhaps they might not want to go that route, and to stop punishing our entire team for vacation that we have earned on one hand and demanding that we take it 'at the company's convenience' (to satisfy draconian payroll limits) on the other.
Hope the time you DO get is enjoyable and relaxing!
