For those that care. Have run them through the first two. In the first part there were no deaths, but there were many many grown pathfinders running for their lives. At the end, I was told "you prepped the hell outta that."

And that my friends, is the whole reason I run PFS.

I applaud you, good sir.

If I remember right there are four parts of Eyes of the Ten. Are they meant to be run one after the other for the same characters or are they four different scenarios meant for different characters?

Our local group are getting some characters up to 12th and I'm offering to run Eyes for them. I'd just like to know before I put the cash down on all four.

Thanks.

They are a 4-part adventure which you must play start-to-finish with the same character.

Thank you very much.

Also keep in mind that all characters playing Eyes of the Ten must have exactly 33 experience at the beginning of series.

And that now, despite what the scenarios say, XP is awarded for each scenario, 2 for part 1, 1 for each other part.

Where does it say this? The only comparable thing I can find is that pre-gen characters aren't allowed.

From the Guide, page 27:

Quote:
Once a character starts a Seeker story arc, she may not be used in any other module or special scenario until she has completed the Seeker story arc.

In prepping for going through this I'm confused by the Osirian faction missions for parts I and III, as both have them retrieving the Immortality Stone in two different places. Is it two different stones? Am I just missing something obvious?

In part 1, it's recovering the Kathari Fragment, which is an object that provides the location for the Immortality Stone.

In part 3, it's found that the Immortality Stone itself is where the party is going.

In part 3, it's found that the Immortality Stone itself is where the party is going.

But in part 1 when they copy the Kathari Fragment in the library it summons a gollem that has the Immortality Stone in its chest. The book then tells me that after they defeat the gollum I should give them the Immortality Stone handout.

It appears to be 2 different components, despite them being named the same thing.

So my eyes of ten group had a fabulous time. Many times I had then running for their lives or in fear of death. I belive that each and every one of the pc's had that brush with death moment.

But in the end the seekers prevailed. And a rousing good time was had by all. In fact, one of the player went on to run eyes of the ten for another group of players and a second player will be running it this summer.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Righteous! Finished my replay last month, looking forward to running it a second time for some of our greener locals. And I just got an email asking about getting an old guard table of the new arc together. Did your crew enjoy the twists and turns?

4/5

They absolutely loved it and I'm enjoying playing with them now as I applied my credits to my level 12 conjurer.

Since then we have played Academy of Secrets together, and I'm running Academy at Midsouthcon34 this weekend.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Academy is awesome, hope you have a good time with it! Trying to get someone that can take on Tomb of the Iron Medusa for us next.

Are you looking for another player, or a GM?

You must be reading our minds......

Grand Lodge 4/5

It's really a question of who will eat the module so the rest of us can play together. rknop had suggested he would, but work ate his playtime over the holidays.

can the scroll of beliac be used whenever? or is it only at the execution part?

Although I've heard stories of it being used elsewhere the mission specifically says "you will know when the time is right."

Generally this manifests by the GM saying things like "You get ready to pull out the item, but you feel a slight hesitation. If this was the right time, surely you would be more certain." Followed at the appropriate time by looking directly at the Cheliaxans and saying "You feel the absolute certainty that this is the place and time for you to act."

Grand Lodge 4/5

Indeed. Theoretically, you could summon him anywhere you desire. In theory. But theories are treacherous things, liable to turn on you at a moments notice before falling apart on you the next.

Q: What is the difference between "in theory" and "in practice" ?

A: In theory, there is no difference. But in practice ...

Dark Archive 5/5 *

would the pc know who beliac is or what the scroll does?

Grand Lodge 4/5

Maybe with a high knowledge/Spellcraft check respectively.

Grand Lodge 4/5

I heard someone had written up faction mission handouts in the style of the new factions for this. Anyone got a link? It would help with the "Ambrus says to help out the Scarab Sages with their mission" thing.

I was planning to do that for the group I am getting ready to run through. If it already exists, that would save me some work.

I have sleuthed out the identities of those responsible. I will be attempting to make contact with them.

What if any is the explanation of the body missing at end of part 1 ??????

Grand Lodge 4/5

Certain conspirators that show up in part three take the body away.

The Exchange 1/5

Just checking.

If have 9 GM credits I have not used at all since 2016 (didn't want to create another character so fast), and now I have completed EoTT part 4.

Can I just start a level 4 character the Protege boon?

Grand Lodge 4/5

You can apply this boon as part of a 1st level rebuild, yes.
