So I want to play a Chaotic Neutral Human Battle Cleric of Gorum that wields a Large Great Sword (Sorta like the character from "Berserk." A -2 for a 1d6 isn't horrible, spells can make up for it I think) I was going to have my char Channel Negative Energy, (He's Neutral, he can do that... as long as I'm not playing the healer that is, cause I'm not.)

My questions are; What should his 15 point buy stat block look like? Should I rearrange/change his feats? Should I take the Crusader Alt for Heavy Armor Prof or keep the extra spells? Or is this a horrible idea and it won't work?

You can't wield a large Great Sword, unfortunately. The -2 size penalty only accounts for weapons you would be capable of wielding (i.e., a large longsword, or a halfling using a medium Longsword as a two-handed weapon).

15 points is gonna be rough for a smiter build. I'd go with something like:

Str: 14
Dex: 10
Con: 10
Int: 10
Wis: 14
Cha: 14

With the racial bonus going towards Strength(or find a good Str/Cha race, like Nagaji). You could dump Int down to 7 and get 12 Dex & Con, but I don't like dump stats. Honestly, 15 points is difficult for a build like this. I'd talk to your DM about making it at least a 20 point build.

For optimum smiting prowess, go standard cleric, make sure you pick up as many buffing spells as you can, and go for the Ferocity and Rage Subdomains (for free bonus damage to any melee attack via Ferocious Strike, and the Rage benefits). I would consider, if you're gonna focus on smiting, taking the Holy Vindicator prestige class, which adds all sorts of beneficial effects to the smite, provides you with extra die of damage, and improves your self healing (win/win/win).

I think by RAW you can't wield a Large greatsword, because it would be a three-handed weapon (also it would be considerably taller than you are, which makes it hard to carry around).

So you might have to give up on that part. But other than that, this looks like a fun build! Very Gorum. At 15 point buy I would probably go something along the lines of:

Str: 14
Dex: 10
Con: 12
Int: 10
Wis: 13
Cha: 14
and put your human +2 in Wisdom. Use level ups to pump Wisdom or Strength as you choose, but make sure you get enough Wis to cast 9th level spells eventually. As Davor says, 15 point buy is tough for a martial caster. PFS is 20 point buy for a reason.

The Crusader archetype could probably work fine. You're not expecting to be the primary healer, as you said, so you shouldn't need those spells too badly. And Legion's Blessing is a pretty solid ability; the normal markup for mass spells is four spell levels, so you're getting it for cheap, plus you get mass versions of everything.

Aww, well darn on the Large Great Sword.

I doubt I'd get the DM to give me a 20 point while the others have 15 :S But I do like your stat build. I just might go for it.

I disagree with the starting Wisdom of 15 for 2 reasons:

1) He needs high strength so he can hit/deal damage when not smiting.

2) If he's going to focus primarily on buff spells, his DC's don't need to be high, and a 13 Wisdom is the bare minimum (including stat increasing items) for casting up to 9th level spells.

I recommended 14 because I hate odd numbers, but that's just me. A 13 with a 12 Con would work well as well.

*Edit: I had forgotten to consider the ramifications of the Animal and Terrain Subdomains. While I don't know if they'd fit with Gorum as a deity, it'd be worth asking your DM about a few of them, specifically the Plains domain (limited use Pounce), the Cave Domain (Blindsense ftw), and many other domains which provide cool, usually Druid Only spells.

I think that an antipaladin will fill the bill better if you can convince your GM to let channel smite to be applied to his touch of fatigue. More smite when above level 6, no need for wis and better bab, on top of a crapload of debuff. The -2 to enemy saves also is pretty nice.
