48 Hours and Beverly Hills Cop both definitely had very funny moments, but neither could really be considered a comedy.
I might argue My Cousin Vinny, but if you say that's more of a courtroom comedy than a law enforcement comedy I won't argue too much.
So I guess we're back to the original Police Academy!
Favorite Kiefer Sutherland role and film?

Super Troopers! No contest!
Favorite Kiefer Sutherland role and film?
There are few "actors" on the planet I despise as much as this turkey, but I have to admit that I liked him as Ace Merrill in Stand By Me.
Favorite cameo role for Stephen King?

One of the best things about Susan Cooper's Dark Is Rising sequence is the loving family Will would risk his life to protect.
Hollywood, of course, made his family into monsters who didn't love him...
You made me sad just by mentioning that adaptation; God, what a travesty.
Remember how in The Greenwich, it's maturity that makes Will and Jenny so awesome? Never gonna see that on screen. Remember The Grey King with its super menacing version of what I can only describe as an Old God, and the Arthurian connection? Never gonna see that on screen. Remember Silver on the Tree and the terrific conclusion it brought the series too? Never gonna see that on screen. All because Hollywood can't be trusted to make a better version of Harry Potter that was written twenty years earlier without crapping it up to eleven.
(Full disclosure: I never read Over Sea, Under Stone. Whatever, Cooper wrote The Dark is Rising first, and the publisher demanded a more kid friendly book to start the series with. It's unnecessary!)
Rant done, I now return you to your regularly scheduled Movie Game...

Over Sea, Under Stone is a great way to introduce a kid who read The Famous Five to the series, starts off as a pastiche of those books but then gets magical and tense in a way that Famous Five never did. Definitely non-essential though.
Doodlebug, never watch the film. Horrible.
Also, I couldn't think of a horrible parent/spouse I would describe a my *favourite*. Hmmm... how about Royal Tenenbaum?
Film family you would most like to be related to?

Well, I just received a copy of Breakfast of Champions which I had added to the queue after reading the book.
I don't know why I can only find the trailer in German.
EDIT: I don't know if it's the dubbing or what, but after watching the trailer, I don't have high hopes.
That's not a real answer to your question, but I'm going to go ahead and move the thread along:
Favorite Bruce Willis movie?

Favorite Alan Rickman movie?
I have gone here before, but let's keep the game going! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II is my all time favorite Alan Rickman movie. He so became Snape that Alan Rickman was somewhere else. That's acting!
What is your favorite movie that had an actor, other than Alan Rickman, that was also in a Harry Potter movie? Also, do not pick a Harry Potter movie.

Gary Oldman is very, very good in just about everything. Just to pick one of his out of a hat, The Professional was a lot of fun.
Favorite Jean Reno movie, other than the above-referenced?

Rank in order best to worst Rock Opera.
a) Hair
b) Tommy
c) The Wall
d) Grease
Here is the rank of my favorite Movie Rock Operas from the list, and not necessarily the same order when dealing with stage productions or albums:
1. The Wall - All in all.
2. Tommy - I'm Free!
3. Hair - Let the sun shine in.
4. Grease
What is your favorite movie Rock Opera? If it is in the list above, then also pick one that is not in the list.

My favorite rock opera is Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (1974), but sadly it never made it to the screen, and remains a mere double-album. So your question still stands.

What is your favorite real musician/band from a movie?
Do you mean favorite musician who has been in a movie as an actor or favorite musician who has played or appeared as themselves in a movie?
Either way if it's Musician appearing in a movie it's Tom Waits in Mystery Men.
If it's Musician(s) appearing in a film as themselves it's ZZ Top in Back to the Future 3.
*edit*
too slow
nevermind...
