So my wife and I like to play the movie game at dinner; you get to ask a question and the other person answers it, then asks a question of their own. Questions range from titles to genres to actors to directors etc. And yes, 5 Degrees of Kevin Bacon even makes it in occasionally.
I'll start off with asking this - what's your favorite Jim Jarmusch film?

Probably Dead Man. My question is actually related. Dead Man is a 'Swan Song', one of the archetypical stories (along with the heroes journey), but one not often told in a movie. What is your favorite Swan Song movie

Question relating to 'Swan Song' - is Dead Man such because William Blake spends the course of the film dying, or is it because he simply does die in the end?
/ loved Dead Man by the way

Neither - and both. Actually a Swan Song is a story that is dedicated to a journey to death, it is hard to describe (at least for me - as I would have to translate literary terms and explanations I do not use very often from german - my native tongue - to english) with all (or at least most) steps during the journey leading to it. Dead Man is 'borderline' swan song, as most of these Tales start with a character that already has his place in life (as opposed to the heroes journey), but I still think it is one.

Alright, then. Going by what I'm picking up, my favorite Swan Song movie (or at least, the first one that popped into my head) is Aguirre, the Wrath of God. Herein can be seen the scene wherein Klaus Kinski mistreats a monkey!
What is your favorite Jodie Foster movie?

My best remake is the 1976 version of King Kong starring Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange. It was awesome watching it in the theaters.
I wish my town had a movie theater that showed old movies again. That is one I would like to see.
What is your favorite movie sequal?

What is your favorite animated film?
** spoiler omitted **
Ghost in the shell 2 yeah a sequel!
What is your favorite book adaption to film?

Doodlebug Anklebiter |

My initial thought was The Lord of the Rings, but that's too obvious.
I then thought of the few movies that, imho, are better than the book. Children of Men has already been mentioned, so I'll go with The Talented Mr. Ripley
What is your favorite war movie?

The Good German perversely makes me think of M.
What is your favorite Jude Law movie?

The Good German perversely makes me think of M.
What is your favorite Jude Law movie?
Nitpicking, but, as great as 'M' is, it isn't a silent movie but one of the first german 'talking films'...
And because I therefor want to re-ask the question about silent movies:
Barbara Bach (Anya Amasova)

Will I get slammed for even mentioning Birth of A Nation? It's not even my favorite silent film, but I do feel like it has historical significance. Sadly, my knowledge of film is woeful in terms of pre-sound titles.
Okay, I dream in technicolor too...

Next question - what's your favorite film that features a crazy Scientologist?
Just saying ;-)
Answering that question: 'Pulp Fiction' (or did you mean the other one?)
The other Question: Gigers/Scotts Alien
What is your favorite Samuel L. Jackson Movie?

[Puts in Gods and Monsters trailer but leaves the question unanswered for the next player.]

Apocalypse Now.
Favorite Sam Raimi film?
As a gamer what I am about to say is probably gonna get me in trouble, but, y'know, Sam Raimi is just kinda overrated. I'm not gonna invoke the dead, so I'll instead go with Xena: Warrior Hussy
What's your favorite foreign film?

Never said you had to think Raimi was great just asked what your favorite movies of his was.
For foreign film Fallen Angels (Hong Kong) The action scenes were really unique. Its like watching everything unfold from a convenience store camera. It also has a dark story line. I really enjoyed this film.
How about favorite comedy?

The Crimson Pirate, starring Burt Lancaster.
Favorite Naval Battle movie?
Can we go "spacey", or are we stuck in the water?
If the former, than Robotech all the way. Atmospheric fighter planes in space is just all kinds of hawtness.
If the latter, then I'll go with Das Boot.
What's your favorite baseball flick?

Hunt for Red October
So how does this game work? You name two movies and you connect them in 5 movies or less? It needs to include Kevin Bacon? Show me use Hunt for Red October and Count of Monte Cristo the 2002 Jim Cavieziel one.
You answer the previous poster's question and then come up with a question of your own. Anything goes, pretty much. I expect we'll take less flack if we stay away from films featuring Ron Jeremy.

Exactly like this:
Hunt for Red October -> (Alec Baldwin) --> The Getaway (remake) --> (Kim Bassinger) --> L.A. Confidential --> (Guy Pierce) --> Count of Monte Cristo (2002).
However there is no real limit on the number of jumps, due to the difficulty once the spread surpasses about three decades or more. And it gets even better when excluding actors/actresses.
For example:
It's a Wonderful Life --> Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
(Without using Nicholas Cage)
