I'm very curious what this item could be that might have excited such a thread. I'd hope the designer bold enough to step forward and share this item with everyone so we can all see what it's about!

Yes. The name is correct. Ryan was hoping to make contact with the person who designed Moonbrook's marble.
It wasn't the only "marble" item we received this year. I'm guessing you entered the marvelous marble? That's not the one Ryan is asking about...

I'm gonna introduce Moonbrook's Marble into my ongoing game, as an arcane item of such an esoteric nature, even the most learned archmages are unsure as to it's function...or even it's existence.
I entered the Gem of the Moonmask^^ Ok, that's not it then.
Just guessing, but I'd bet a couple dollars that Ryan wants to touch on the relationship between the item submission and Moonbrook in WoW. Certainly that's the first thing that popped into my mind when I read the name.
Actually I just want to give some moral support to the submitter. I championed the item with the judges but was unable to move them to see my point of view. :)
It was the only item I wished had made the top 32 that didn't so I figured I'd go outside the process to give some feedback to the submitter if he/she wanted it.
Well that's two bucks I'd have lost, then! Maybe Mr. Moonbrook will come out of the woodwork yet and we can see what all this is about.
