Final Boss Advice

My campaign is halfway over and i'm planning ahead the final enemy. Basically it's a necromancer who uses a dracolich as a mount. He casts spells while the dragon mauls the PCs, nothing too complicated. Wjìhat class should he be to be a challenge to the players?

If you want him to be a necro, he HAS to be a wizard specializing in necromancy, at least the most of his levels.Remember that spellcasting classes are weakened in spellcasting power if they are given levels of non spellcasting classes.

I'll go by this one. After he is supposed to be the messenger of some evil outer-space god (yes, i like Lovecraft, sue me) so the Oracle is appriopriate. Thanks
