How is that huge? It should be a large. Don't. Get me wrong the detail and paint n pose is very good but it's not huge it should be a promo large it's very hard to judge the size if they don't put it next to other mini,s for comparison. I mean the wotc lords of madness have large blue dragon and it's bigger then this so called huge ?

Eric Mona has already stated that they learned some lessons about scale and such on this run of minis. Just put the Ranger next to the Troll next to an Ettin and you'll wonder why the Troll is large.
That being said, that dragon IS huge, he's just not tall. What he doesn't have in Vertical size he makes up for in breadth. The base is the correct size and he fills ALL of it.

4 squares. Aaron. I am not talking about the set of hero and monsters. I really like the set the paint jobs the sculpts and the size of the mini,s in it. It just that when you read the press release or the FAQ they make it sound like this massive black dragon like the one WotC did. Then when you get it in the mail your kinda like what ....WTF. Is this right...know what I mean ?

The Red Dragon WotC did was Collosal, not Huge. Also, I find it terribly proportioned. The Black is in proportion with the other dragons WotC did, as far as I can tell.

You're wrong Brap, it is the right size and they called it correctly. You have the sizes mixed up. There is one between huge and colossal, gargantuan as mentioned above. It's your expectations that are wrong, not what they said.
It goes small/medium (1) -> Large (2x2) -> Huge (3x3) -> Gargantuan (4x4) -> Colossal (I can't remember dimensions, probably 5x5)
The White, Blue, and Black (WoTC) were Gargantuan while the Red was Colossal. The Black Dragon Wizkids did is Huge and the correct size. I can confirm on the White since I have it sitting on the desk across from me and have seen all the other ones at one time or another.

Pres man how about some of the later huges like the red from the againt the giants set or the elder blue or elder copper from the last set. I think that would be more of a favorable match up than a mini from before the financial issues
Sure, you can buy them for me and send them to me. I'll gladly take photos for you. ;) These were just the dragons I had on hand.
I do think I have a dragon lich that might be huge though, from the board game.

I've got the WotC Large black dragon with the sorcerer dude on his back. I've been waiting for the Heroes & Monsters set to get me the Huge black dragon. Basically my group whacked the Large months ago, and our ranger found, used atonement on, and helped hatch the her egg. Now he's got a black dragon animal companion.
The question was asked... who was the father?
Well, this mini was the answer to that. Last night the group got to fight a nice Ancient black.
I bring all of this up to illustrate that my group got to play against both minis. I even put the Large on the table all night as foreshadowing. Unanimously everyone likes the Paizo Huge much better.
Yes, the two are basically the same size (barring the base) but the Huge is proportioned and posed much better. The Large shouldn't have been the size it was.
Ultimately I'm very happy with the majority of the sizing trends I'm seeing. I don't like it when minis stick out a lot over their base. It makes table battle difficult as things keep getting knocked over and it's hard to position adjacent minis. Occasional spears and things are fine, but I'm really happy with the size of this Huge. It was completely workable at the table, which is more than I can say for many WotC minis.

Black and Large Red Dragon
Black and Huge Aspect of Tiamat
Tiamat should have been at gargantuan or colossal, but WotC wanted to include it in the set. Size wise, if you ignore the base, it is almost the same size as the gargantuan dragons.
